"Capcom revealed that the home version of Street Fighter IV (Xbox 360, PS3) will be released around the same time as the upcoming movie Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, which will open in theaters on February 27, 2009. The Legend of Chun-Li will feature Chun Li, Balrog, Guile, Gen and M.Bison; Ryu and Ken will not appear in the film."
Great...so not only do I have to wait til next year but I have to be inundated with another SF movie too? Thanks Capcom. |

On the plus side, it can't POSSIBLY be any worse than the last movie.......can it? |

I think I'm the only person that is not looking forward to this game. I'm sorry but Street Fighter 2.5 Maximum Impact is a step backwards in my opinion. |

Well IMO, (the Japanese version of) SF Alpha 2 on the Saturn was and still is the best while XM vs SF (also on the Saturn) is the best of the VS series. Still, the new one looks really cool and if they can do away with all of the gimmicks (50 different speeds, auto/manual/semi-auto/semiconscious mindtap blocking, etc) then it'll be good. Besides, I'm really due for a trip back to 2D fighting. The 3D fighters have very few good pure fighting engines (VF being the only one I care to admit to) and once I plunk down my $50 all I want is a good game. |

pshaw...what I love is that not only is it going to be a bad movie, but RYU AND KEN ARENT IN IT.
Aren't they the posterboys for Streetfighter, or has my not playing the game since playstation one a hindering aspect on me? |

It's supposed to be a Chun Li focused movie from what I hear. Not really expecting much. Just gimme my street fighter already! |

And I think I read somewhere (maybe a British mag) that Capcom is also looking at Phoenix Wright (the lawyer game) and Okami (anime) movies. |
