Glad to still be here

Hello all.
I know that it has been a long while since I was last seem on the boards here but I have been very busy with the holidays and a few friends and are are trying to get a place.

on the 29th of Jan. I was helping a friend move a few boxes when out of nowhere came a cardiac arrest. it took ten minutes of CPR before the paramedics got there and shocked my back to the world of the living. I spent three days in the hospital with all sorts of memory problems, before my memory that I have now started working correctly. after a few more days I had a pacemaker/defibulator put in.
Three more days later I was released, It has taken me a several days to get my self up and around on a regular basis but i no longer have a steady internet connection.

Anyway i just wanted to hello to everybody and to gloat a little too...

Well I am very glad to still be here.
So as one of my self improving resolutions that I am working towards one of them is to keep better in touch with those that I care about.
I will be on the boards as often as I can,
I even hope to get back to the Village Square and other near by forums in the near future.

So what do you know about this third strike? Is there something you can do to avoid this in the future?

Well I really don't know what caused it, I mean I know that I have had several heart problems over the course of my life but nothing that really stands out as..... Hey doing this is bad!
I do know that i have an arrithmia (sp?) but now that I have a pacemaker/defibulator in I should be just fine. With it if my heartbeat goes to high or too low it tries paces it back to a more acceptable speed. also if my heart beat goes way to high it will zap me and then paces my heart back to the proper beat.

I am almost tempted to try to get my heart rate up to above 240 bpm just to see what the zap feels like but I must not let my curiosity get the better of me.

Maybe it is a bit early to experiment with the one device that keeps your heart pace.

It sound terrible to have it happen like that. So sudden I mean. I am glad that you are alive.

Yeah your right Stingdragon its probably way to early to test it but at least I'm not at the point where the pace maker needs to be running 24/7. And the sudden-ness of it only really bugs me because of the fact that I A) don't remember it happening (your know the event itself). and B) I lost three day that i really don't remember due to both the event and the drugs that i was on right after it.
