well i am sorry we are throwing more highly sensitive tech at you....i can just hope i could rework it to have fewer parts to break in the field. i just think it is cool tech but hope the Air Force gets it first so you don't have to deal with it Kudasai. Hummers are weighed down enough as is with the armor upgrades

I agree, if anybody needs lasers it's the Air Force! Can you imagine our kick ass jet fighters with lasers? Look out Stargate SG1 here we come!

Are you sure they haven't made these lasers from back-engeneering alien tech?

well the focusing array method used in the Northrop Grumman (NG) system is based off the concept of the Deathstar and Lockheed-Martin (LM) is behind perfecting that as a part of the partnership w/ NG. the F-22 and F-35 from LM are preconfigured to feature these in the vulcan ports. they are practically flying omni-mechs with the modularity of them. power is very easy to generate if you are running a turbine motor (brayton system) even if it uses it's exhaust for propulsion. that is why the idea of a laser tank is actually semi-practical.

if they are back working it from aliens, may it not be Goa' uld. that would mean my bunker ideas are fryable from orbit but if i had a Tungsten rod satelite it would be screwed anyways.

Laser tanks would be cool! I'm actually a tank mechanic and I would gladly trade in that giant noisy gun for a clean, quiet laser.

yeah that would be a bit less noisy but the power discharges will draw more dust, possibly irradiate/sterilize you, and an explosion risk still exists from any thing that could build capacitance. not to mention you would glow even brighter on thermal... fewer crew required though.

you know we should talk sometime about the mechanics of the american tanks... i always have loved the systems used in them.

The risk of sterilization from lasers is no greater than the risk of sterilization from the DU used on the tanks now.

Besides, some of these people need to be sterilized! Mr. Green
