As you guys know I'm usually very hard to get mad but low and behold it happened and I've noticed I have a very low threshold of tolerance when something goes wrong for my children.

Melissa's cousin was wanting another child so she decided that she didn't want to watch our children anymore. At first I thought "Ouch. There goes a good situation." but then I noticed how the last month of her "care" was going for my son and daughter. Horrible. Neglectful, is the actual word that came to mind. Lilly would go all day 6 - 8 hours without a diaper change and then sometimes if she did change the diaper she would not get Lilly's clothes back on. Another drop in the bucket. But here's the real kicker: this all came about after Melissa offered to help her pay to have her IUD (birth control) removed, an offer that cost us $200! So... AFTER we offer her $200 to help her get her next child THEN she starts being a general biotch and neglecting our children. WTF?!! There's only been two women in my life that I would have considered punching in the f***ing face before this but now there's three.

Chapter 2: The New Sitter
So a girl at Melissa's work tells us to bail on her cousin and let her watch our kids because our kids get on great with hers and ahe would love to have more kids around. She's a sweet girl but she's a little flighty. She has a problem with planning meaning she overbooks herself. So Melissa gives her the schedule of when we would need her and at first everything is hunky dory but then she starts (this has happened twice in three weeks)calling us the night before and bailing. This of course puts us in the situation of needing to find a last minute sitter and with our families here being the people that they are generally screws us! We need her to work so I've been the one who's had to call in and tell my boss that I have to watch my kids so I'm going to have to use vacation time for that day and not be there. Of course, my boss LOVES that. So now tensions are rising all around and I'm about to scream. I've been looking into government assisted childcare but that just doesn't say "quality care" to me. I'm so torn and worried about what will go on without me there to protect my kids but I have to be able to trust and lean on somebody. To hell with this situation. Really. F it all.

You try looking into the colleges for an Ou'Pair program? Jenna was an ou'pair when i met her, and it's not necessarily their dream job, but it allows them to go to school and make a couple of bucks on the side. The only thing is that you would have to provide room and board.

Stingdragon is/was a nanny in Nashville within the past couple years. Maybe she can give you some direction on this.

And frankly, if the cousin is going to spontaneously decide she doesn't want to keep your kids, you should spontaneously ask her about when she's going to pay that $200 back Twisted Evil

The neglect she did on your kids is reportable.

I feel your pain my friend. I respect and admire your control tho, I think the first time I found out that Anakin went 6+ hours without a diaper change I would have punched the bitch in the face and then run her over with my car....and then her own.

Geeze. I'd slap them both. my wife is a nanny and that stuff above isn't cool at all.

If I was in Atlanta instead of Sav-town, I'd totally offer. This is the reason I'll never allow my mom to watch my kids. God knows she didn't really look after me.
