Attention all Terry Goodkind fans!
Wizards First Rule is being made into a tv series! Goodkind is helping Sam Rami and others into using WFR to re-write it into a story that is good for a TV series. The first episode will premier on Nov. 1st. Its channel varies, as that is a weekend day and I think this is sort of a test pilot to see how it goes...and if all goes well, more series is to follow for the WFR as well as the following books.

DO NOT bother checking out this show, if you've read the books. The big network its being shown on took away Goodkind's rights pretty much in terms of story, so the first season thats based on the first book is way FUBARed. I lost interest after a few episodes I was so incredibly disappointed. 
But the books are outstanding. I would be curious to know if you are still reading the series, and if so what you think. |

I watched the show THEN read the books. LOL WTH- they've already introduced Jensen, Darken Rahl has DARK HAIR and they've gone to the future...THE FUTURE. I watch it now just to go...wait, what....did they READ the books? Its not like they didn't have enough material to work with.
Currently I'm on...Naked Empire? Yeah thats it, I've only got Chainfire left then the Confessor trilogy...i think. |

BTW - Darken Rahl as seen on TV played by Craig Parker.
SAME ACTOR as seen in LOTR (i forget the character name)
He made a better Darken Rahl in LOTR than LOTS....funny I just noticed the shows are only one letter apart abbreviated lol...i make myself laugh.
The Mordsith are decent tho. Hoping to see more Cara next season and maybe Berdine. |

Well, I didnt get to see much of the mordsith honestly. I stopped when they fubared Denna's storyline and Kahlan helps Richard escape. WTF?!?!?!?!
Needless to say, even my morbid curiousity, couldnt overwhelm my disgust at what they had done to the story. Its so beautifully written they didnt need to do ANYTHING to it except have people act it out.
