Ok, now my gf got me a new GBA SP ( woohoo! ) and so I gave her my old GBA with the 4 player adapter (I believe it's not from Nintendo, ya know, it's a GBA GBC adapter).
Last night, we played Pokemon Sapphire/Ruby for a few hours till we found some pokemonds we didn't have on our version. But when we tried to transfer them, we couldn't! we were pluged in correctly (I was using the 1P plug, she was using the 2P plug ... meh we tried it with all the pluyg configuration anyway -_-) and it wasn't working! The only stupid message we had on our game boys was "Waiting to connect ... ... B: cancel" or something like that.
Could my 4 player adapter only be compatible with GBA and GBC, not GBA SP?! Did that happen to anyone here? BUT IT'S THE SAME DAMN EXT PORT AS THE GBA!!!! WHY!!!! WHY I TELL YA!!!!

I know someone who might have the answer to this question, but I haven't seen them at all today... I'll try to talk to them tonight and get an answer for you.
I went and bought one of them SP's though- lol, have nooo GBA games for it yet...(although Pokemon Ruby is on my "get it" list.....it will be the first Poke'game that I've ever played- the commercials made me want it soooo badly). |

ahh, nothing can possibly be better then old school Pokemon red and blue. those games were amazing

ya well, I have my answer! The guy from Nintendo told me that the GBA SP was ONLY compatible with the Nintendo certified link cable for the GBA (you know, the 2player link cable that can be link with an other link cable). Nintendo clearly told me that the GBA SP is NOT compatible with other link cable other then the universal link cable and the GBA link 2player cable, I believe both are made by Nintendo.
Problem solved! Got a link cable, and traded a few lv15~ pokemon to my gf! ... the only new problem she's facing now is that they don't listen to her  She beter get her first badge quick otherwise they are really gonna get on her nerves heyhey. |

Cool BWS...i got mine the other day also,my first ever Gameboy and i love it.They where all out of Silver ones so i got the Cobalt and a used copy of Advance Wars...man this game is great.Today i picked up the link cable to Gamecube so i can get all the extra stuff in Zelda. |

The new SP is definately tasty. Plus it's nice to be able to actually PLAY Castlevania: CotM now. B4 I was all squinty, perhaps I should send Nintendo my eye doctor bills? |
