I must say I appreciate all the views on this subject. It seems as we have quite a variety of opinions and that's what PO is about as well. Sperrit, I don't think it could be phrased any better. IN fact, I may just wanna put that on the main site if you don't mind (giving credit of course to the author). I know we have more votes in the custom area but there is much pasison swaying in favor of what we have now.

So it is the decision that we shall stick to our original guns. Everyone has representation, everyone is their own mascot. We'll just go about shuffling through random images (eventually where the Featured Otakus are) in the front pages to show how diverse we strive to be.

That's also a good idea Doot! But now what comes to my mind is, if we want to abolish the thought of having any personnality contest of some sort, the featured pocket otaku will be, like Doot said, chosen randomly from the already existing POs, therefor, elliminating the use and the existance of the "Featured Pocket Otaku of the week" Poll. I don't know about you but, for the time we had 1 featured PO every week, I felt it was all about the POs personnality and it was sad to see some POs have only 1 vote, when actually, regardless of what is the personnality of who ... even if some might not like a certain personnality (making them NOT vote for that certain PO) it doesn't mean that this PO isn't COOL, or special, it might even be what makes it special! But in the end, we are all special really. I was feeling bad for the one with one vote, cause he deserved it as much as the one with the most votes! What MIGHT look like some are more special then others (exemple, by voting who'll be the featured PO) is only based on the opinions of others, and that makes it a very subjective vote. So yeah! Hail to randomness!

how bout we just have a group shot of all of the PO's that exist right now? And after a couple of months, we just update the group picture, and repaste it on teh front page? This way, instead of a feature otaku, everyone IS a feature otaku, or at least that is what it can be like

Liking the ideas guys. I figure we do a random shuffle though, as much as I would love to make an image with all the current ones, ay ay ay, it would be a pain to update. (you can see how fast I am at getting the otakus page set up). So what I'll do is occassionally doodle and come up with something, or maybe a featured fanart or something. It has so much opportunityfor flexibility.

That is the way i feel about it too... We are a community of mascots.. I dont think you could just put one mascot for pocket otaku, because there is no way to join all of the otaku's together into one otaku.

Im not even going to respond to Akira...But anyways. One thing I see at the RPGWorldComic that I read is at the bottom they have these small banners that have a picture of the characters face and then 'PG World' written on them. I personally think this would be a good idea. We could have a small face, like the ones you upper-class POs use on the main page next to announcements that you write. That, with 'Pocket Otaku' or something could be great for putting on our webpages, journal/diaries, and other places. thats my opinion, feedback is welcome.
