He's a joke because he has become the thing that he supposedly "despises" That is, wealthy, influential, and a completely unrealistic "realist" He whines about bullshit, and tries to pass off everything he decides "needs a voice" as the most important social issue facing america today. Can I really get Ginsu knives for only $19.00? Where do I sign?
Yeah, I like how this guy can basically take a situation that can be completely blamed on the kids invovled and their parents and change it to be blamed on a guy who's only crime was to be an actor that DOESN'T have his entire head up his ass.
Then he portrays him as a hate-monger. I mean Heston isn't the coolest guy in the world but at least he has a belief and doesn't back down.
Granted guns are inherintly bad...I mean all weapons of death are bad but depending on who uses them they're good. When Han Solo pulls a gun and shoots Guido (When Han fired first cause Guido shooting first was gay) we all cheered in a rapturess orgy of goodness. When Stalin killed 10,000 of his own people in one day we all went...Hey, that guys evil. Did we say, "Hey, them guns the guys are firing are evil." NO we said STALIN was evil. (Yes I know comparing fact to fiction is inane..bite me.)
So basically it wasn't the guns fault for columbine, it wasn't society's fault, and it wasn't even the jerkwads who picked on the kids fault. (Granted these kids had 12 friends...In all of HS I had about 4 friends...I had acuantances but only 4 were ever invited to me house) The people to blame are the damn kids themselves for being retarded and letting fiction lead their lives and their parents for not monitoring their intake of said medias.
I've played and beaten ALL Doom games without codes, I ruled ass in Duke Nukem, I saw the Matrix MANY times, AND I do in fact own a gun...I have yet to kill ANYONE...So am I a special case? Am I the only gun owner to play Doom and not go to work/school the next day and level the place in a hail of gunfie and pipe-bombs? |
