Earthquake in GA? - That's right, it happened.

Well at about 5:30 this morning, I woke up to my entire house shaking.

I listened close for a Jet, or machinery, or a truck or something. I heard nothing. After about a minute or so of shaking, it stopped and I brushed it off.

I'm on my wait to work and I hear on the radio that we actually had an earthquake... in Georgia... What's up with that.

That's right. It was centered around the Alabama/Georgia border and measured a whopping 4.7 on the Rictor (sp?) scale. The largest ever recorded for the AL/GA area was 4.9.

Interesting.

It's a conspiracy! It really was some terrorist attack, covered up by the alien FBI military Loch Ness hunters!

I swear it! I saw it with my own two eyes!

I slept right through the darn thing. Sleepy Doot = Bomb in shorts and it still wouldn't wake me up!

I think Shino may be pullin our legs..I mean Doot AND Saky slept through it and Sciler blames it on bad gas. Are we to believe the Resident Dominatrix dominates the gaseous quadrant of human society?

Plus the fact that the eastern seaboard never gets quakes since they're so far from the "Ring of Fire" which is located in the Pacific ocean off the coast of Japan.

ya, but there is the possibility that there is a small unidentifiable fault that seemed to shift. You can have earthquakes anywhere, its just that in most places outside of the ring of fire, you dont expect it.

yet after another night of no sleep, i felt it. went outside and did some things simalar to what shino did and saw nothing. i put my hand on the ground and felt small vibrations comin from it and thought like someone was workin down the woods on something, but then i went in and turned on the news and they said we had just had a earthquake so im not really thinkin anything of it but oh well, lets feel special we experianced something other than a drought for once...

Pffft, in AZ we got the San Andres fault like RIGHT next to us and we still never get Earth-quakes. (Secretly prays for the day California goes the way of Atlantis)

Bad gas we do get sometimes though..What with all the Mexican food we consume. I still say GA didn't have one...Maybe Best Buy and Ultimate Electronics just turned up all the bass in the home thater departments...hehehe
