I don't think that the sex drive dictates all invention. It is said that necessity is the mother of all invention. Granted, we don't NEED Tv-VCRs nor do we need Tea-ade. I think that our actual taste and hunger could have been what dictated tea-ade, as well as many other food inventions. We wanted something that tasted good, so we mixed two things that already tasted good. When you think about it, hunger/cravings/taste are very powerful emotions(?) or at least feelings, which can drive us to do many things. Just as 'sex drive' is an emotion(?) that drives us to do things. |
