well i woke up at 5 am to turn off my alarm and suddenly i heard this roar (like a big gust of wind or a truck) kinda envelope the house and everything started to shake. pictures on the walls the doors in their frames all rattled noisily. it was different from sound waves from a big truck or a storm it had this eerie rythmicness about the vibration and then suddenly it stopped. the silence was really creepy.
i was a little freaked. i was all, was that an earthquake? (never been in one) cause i wasn't aware of any faultline near here but now that i think of it we live at the base of the appalacian mountains and a faultline had to help create those so it makes sense to a degree. still it was weird. and my mum thinks that were gonna have more. she says its just a feelin but who knows. it was kinda cool but freaky too. |

When I sleep I'm pretty much dead to the world, so I slept completely through it. My boss at work said he felt it though, but his walls didn't shake or anything.
On second thought, it probably wasn't an Earthquake. My guess...Sakura just dropped a dialog again [/Inside Joke]. :p Hehehe, I'm just kidding Sakky! |

Seattle was built on a fault line. Apparently theres a lot of presure building up and we're gonna have some kind of massive Earthquake of Death in the future sometime.
The last Earthquake in seattle was cool, though! Felt like I was standing on rolling water! I was rocking out!

Well, the Mississippi was once a large active fault line, so I am not all that suprised. And Seattle has that problem of not reallly be on bedrock, so the gravel fill in it's built on will magnify the waves of the quake. And I too hope that one day we have beautiful Arizona Bay. |
