Samus Aran doesn't kick high - or: I am a Metroid fanatic

Please save me from being forced to create a time machine to go get two new Metroid games from the week of the 17th.

Don't ask me what that means. But I'm anticipating both Metroid Fusion and Metroid Prime sooo freakin' much. I mean. TWO. Two games. Big games. There's only been 3 made so far, each very spaced apart. And now two. And they're both incredible. And I can play the first one with linking the two together. I own every Metroid game and as well I have 0wnZed them too.

I'm not really sure what the point of this topic is.

If you want to make some productive Metroid conversation with me, I'd love to converse..!

One topic that I'd want to bring up is Samus. She's seriously my hero. She's sexy, but doesn't do anything to flaunt it at all; heck, she wears giant pieces of body armor with a green reflective visor. She can kick(or shoot) more ass than any female videogame character ever has. Again, she doesn't need flaunting boobs to sell her games. She's 6 foot 3 inches, which is dang tall; most game chicks are on the average scale. Her games are some of my all time favorite games, which even has a very solid storyline and plenty of backbone.

Indeed, I remember playing Metroid wayyy back when I was abt 7 or 8 I guess. Never could beat it, that game was HARD. I'm highly anticipating both of these games...already have them pre-ordered. I never owned the original Metroid though, just rented it, so I'm glad I'll finally get the chance to beat it after I unlock it in Metroid Prime. Until PSO came out I was actually playing through Super Metroid just to get ready for them.



And for everyone who complains that "metroid shouldn't be first person"...play it first. I've played the demo and I was quite impressed. The game seems to be perfect for old and new Metroid fans alike. Besides, hearing the classic Metroid chord when Samus first gets off her spaceship is reason enough to buy it.
