A Wonderful Weekend - The wonder that is 6 months!!!

On Friday May 23, 2003 Shino and Skibirdi celebrated being together for 6 months.

This was a big deal for me as it has now doubled the length of time of my previous longest relationship. (did that make sense?)

I started out my hand delivering a dozen roses to her office. Six red and six white. (Guys, be careful with that combination. The florest told me it was actually the sign for engagement). I got a call on my cell about 20 mins after dropping them off. She told me that everyone else was jealous and it made her feel really good. Go Me Wiggle

After she got off work, I picked her up and we started out the night with dinner at an upscale sountern resturant call The Horseradish grill. I had Elk. It was quite yummy. Like beef only more flavor and much much leaner.

Skibirdi had Chicken and an interesting drink that was unique to the bartender. They officially named it "Sex on the Horseradish Grill" (doesn't sound very comfortable does it).

Following dinner, we went downtown and took a carrage ride. This was very relaxing. The only problem with it is that it was only like 25 mins, the guy was 30 mins late picking us up, and our "tour" was around the area where I work. What kind of tour is that. Anyway, it was still very nice and quite relaxing.

After the Carrage ride, we went to our third destination. I got a suite at Embassy Suites and spent a few hours preparing it for Skibirdi's arivial. What was I preparing? Well when she walked into the door of the hotel, she was greeted by candlelight leading from the door. She walked along a floor covered in Rose Pedals. After sitting her on the bed, I told her to close her eyes. After which I fed her ice cream (her favorite ice cream I might add). The place we go for ice cream (Cold Stone Creamery) closed at 10, and since I knew we were going to be getting to the hotel after that, I picked it up and put it in the freezer (if that's what they call it). It turned out to be a wonderful night. I'm glad I took half a day from work to prepare for the event.

Guys... I definatly suggest the rose pedal thing. It was a very cool experience.

awww...thats a wicked cool thing u did man. I give u props. if i had a girlfriend, i dont know if i would have done anything that extravagent....real cool shino...really cool Smile

What a wonderful weekend it was. Shino did a wonderful job of surprising me. I had the greatest time. You get an A+ Shino.

I will write more later...(at work) I just wanted to make a quick comment on this particular topic. Smile

Ok, so now I have time to write!

Dinner was good. The waiter told us a little more info then we needed to know about how the Elk is actually killed in New Zealand and the put on the table within two days. (Ike! ) The carriage was nice. Just like Shino said, it would have been nice to have had a tour of Atlanta and not the block where he works. Oh well, the atmosphere was great...(great weather, great company!!! ). After that he teased me by saying "Well, it was either the carriage ride or icecream...sorry, I hope you don't mind the carriage ride." I course I am glad he chose the carriage ride...but...but...I want icecream. Huh?

When we got to our "final destination" he made me wait outside until he got everything "Ready." When I got in there (as he already said there were candles and rose peddles everywhere), he told me to sit down because he had a surprise. He then told me to close my eyes and open my mouth. (I was like "Yeah, right! Whatever") He finally convinced me and then put a spoon full of my favorite icecream in my mouth! I was SO excited. I got both! The carriage ride AND the icecream! (I am chocoholic and not affraid to admit it.) Double Chocolate and Cake Batter icecream with a brownie mixed in. (Heaven in a cup :yummy: ). We sat there and ate the icecream and I was in complete bliss. I was sitting on rose peddles, eating chocolate, and, most of all, I was with my wonderful boyfriend...SHINO! Love

What Shino didn't talk about was the rest of the weekend. We went to the Renaissance Festival on Saturday. It was fun, but I had to leave early to go babysit (for Shino's God Daughter actually). On Sunday we did the normal brunch and then softball (attempted anyway) and then on Monday we relaxed the entire day. It was so great. I made him breakfast in bed (One of six things I am doing for him in celebration of six months - Fresh baked banana bread, chocolate chip pancakes, cheese eggs, OJ, and a rose in a small vase [I would have made coffee or tea, but I know he wouldn't have wanted it]). We didn't really get into the day until 4pm. As much as I wanted to go have a picnic or something, this was the greatest just doing nothing. *dreams of when we will be able to do that again*

So yeah, good weekend. Now it is time to get back to reality Sad

and get back to work.

Yeah man...I have to give props to Shino for that. You put together one hell of a night, and all in all, it sounds like it was an incredibly memorable weekend. Congratulation to both of you on 6 months! I know that's a BIG step to take.

I've been with my girlfriend for about 14 month (currently beating my previous record by...well...about 14 months...), and I haven't done anything that special yet. I guess I'm pretty much due, huh? Anyway, I'm just glad that my girlfriend isn't on PO, or else I would have already heard "Shino did something nice for his girlfriend! Why don't you do something nice for me?!"

hehe...but in all seriousness, congratulations. Here's to the future!

Ok Rev. is right Ming ya need to do something for your special lady but at the same time she needs ta do somethin for you. For her I suggest she take ya to the forest cook up some brawtwurst and just tell ya how manly ya are for like 3 hours when you then fall aslep intoxicated with her admiration. Yep..Relationships are give and take and I wanna see females giving a lil' more. hehehe...Not like that ya sickos.
