Lightning storms are cool, but I like the wind storms. There's nothing spookier than hearing the wind blow all through and around the house. Nothing else like that in the world.

i heard that some parts of the US had some pretty terrifying storms over the weekend ...resulting in some fatalities ....saw some pix in the papre about it ...some bad s*** lots of damage ..should make me thankful really that we dont get biggies like those ..altho we do get water spouts here that look amazing they dont do as much damage ... |

I've never seen a water spout before. That'd be cool to see! Though there ain't much that beats seeing the lighting kick up here. Ain't often, though. Gotta enjoy it while you can. *boom!* Oo! I'm gonna go watch!

Yes Gynah, the area that got hit was my area. We had really bad thunderstorms, knocking out my cable, hence the reason PO was down... My modem was down. Less then 100 miles North of me they were getting bad tornados and had some of the fatalities that were mentioned.
It's very sad.
I could live without seeing that kind of shit again. |

Yeah. Natural disasters are not fun for anyone. It's the double edged sword of nature. At least nature doesn't kill out of anger or hatred. It just kills because we happen to be in it's way and it can't see us. Anyway, I hope that all those families that have lost loved ones in natural disasters can find peace.

It is a shame, no doubt about it, but it's only nature's way of maintaining the balance. Yes, it is a sometimes violent and terrible way to do it, but it's got to be done. I count myself lucky that I live in an area where natural disasters are few and far between... well, except stupid drivers! ("You can go the Speed Limit! It's okay!)
