Final Fantasy - Old skool

I'm not digging the old skool FF to be honest. I tried my best.. but Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger own.

Final Fantasy 1 is nice, but frankly time has taken its toll on the game. It is the origins of almost* everything that is FF, but in all essence it's not as great a game now as it was when it first came out.

*What we consider FF staples: chocobos, cid, and airships, weren't introduced until FF2. FF1 established the musical themes, and the designs of the initial 5 classes.

Ah, oldskool FF.

Many fond memories. Of course, playing them on the cartridge is probably better than on the discs, or so I hear. The response time is a bit slow when disc playing.

FFIV was pretty cool, FFVI was pinnacle of the non-cg era. FFI I never managed to finish. Although I got all the way to the end boss many times.

Chrono Trigger is still really kewl, though. I have not had the ability to play much of SoM.

mmmm...FFany is good, though i havent played VIII, or IX but the rest were really good, and i suppose that the ones that i havent played are alos extremely good. the ones that i thought were lacking were FFmystic, and FFadventure, they were really strange...

Final Fantasy VII VIII and IX are good, I kinda like X, but good golly miss molly, Tidus is a whiny ass.

But if you compare Final Fantasy II and III to Phantasy Star II and IV, PS is just much better, but PS hasn't evolved into the next step, so Final Fantasy by default is the better series.

Old Skool ruled since there was a story but it wasn't all EXTREME and in your face and there was COMEDY.

I played that FFX and I was bored to friggin tears..Yeah it LOOKED good but there wasn't a single laugh in it. And the voice acting coulda been performed by monkeys and STILL be better.

FF3 (6) had action, adventure, an octopus with an ego problem, Genji Gloves, Atma Weapons, GAU, Sabin, Rena, Summons, Materia that awesomely allowed EVERY Char to know EVERY spell in the game. It's great when EVERYTHING died instantly cause 4 peeps cast Ultima on it...hehehe Or the super cool combo where ya wear two Genji Gloves, two swords, and that one thing that let you attack 4 times at once thus allowing you to attack 8 times in ONE round!

i think ffx was way too ez, i played it through and killed tidus's father in about 4 hits, then went and killed all my aeons in 1 hit apiece with doublecast ultima (with 1 mp lol) and then the final boss took only one ultima cast. all my chars had fully upped final weaps and all. the team was tidus yuna and auron. auron was probly the best char in the game cause he wasnt acting stupid all the time.

Well, a lot of the FF games got very easy once you had Ultimate Weapons and Final summons and such... Excepting, possibly, the original. That was still nasty trying to get through a much stronger Tiamat... since BRAK didn't work on that one.

Luckily, the only one still unavailable is FFIII, and I feel that will appear soon enough...
