I officially hate my parents until further notice. Me and my friend had plans to go to Atlanta, GA so that he could get a record deal, I was invited to go. I would have gone if it werent for my stupid, evil, overcaring parents. They said that they didnt trust my friend enough to let him drive me around for a week without parental supervision. I was like then come along, but neither my parents or his wanted to go. So hes going and Im here in fricking maryland, i undercased it cuz i hate it so much. I wanted to meet all u who live down there, and I especially wanted to go see Sakura, I love you baby. Well thats it for todays rant...oh yea: KILL PARENTS, STEAL CAR, DRIVE TO ATLANTA. |

All I have to say is I can see where your parents are coming from. I think I would be a bit hesitant to let my child, even though they'd be sixteen, to go out of state with a friend.
Seriously, I have got to say, there are times where I disagreed with my mother, and some times where I felt just as bad about her, but you seriously won't understand the power of words until you lose someone that really was as dear to you even in times of disagreement. There will be times for meetings and times for visits and times for romance and times for deals, but honestly, none of those will ever amount to the times you'll wish you were able to spend with someone you've lost. |

Completely understandable that your parents would be hesitant to let you leave, although I'm also sure that if you spoke with them about what you were planning on doing, they might be a little more receptive. Besides, HOW many board members over 21 live in at Atlanta? You might think of looking into that aspect now... |

well, this was a rant, ur not supposed to disagree with me. But thank you all for ur input, and I do see where my parents are coming from and I know they love me and dont want to lose me. But im just mad at them right now. Also, added to that, this morning they made me do what would have taken an hour or so worth of cleaning in 15 minutes or I wasnt allowed to do anything but clean today. I'm not so mad anymore cuz they paid me to do it. Again thank you all for your intelligent words of wisdom. |
