Oooooo my trip went soooo well! This late I know but we've been really busy at my house! I spent WAY 2 much money and racked up a REALLY expensive phone bill! That wasn't so good though. I visited many palaces and decided I liked schonbrunn: the Habsburgs's summer palace best. So during the reign of EL Supremo I live there with my friends. And to be nice I give REV huge castle ruin overlooking the entire city of Heidelburg. I'll fund for him to rebuild it. So anyway..... My grandpa and I loved Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands. I had many chances to use my german, and It was such a git for me to see the country my ancestors came from (I'm half german!)  The only sad thing was many of the Germans there pretend that the holocaust never happened. They just prefer to think of it as an event in ancient history. That made me sad. We also saw room #600 where the Nurnberg trials took place (where the Nazis were put on trial after WWII) we also saw the Reijks (I didnt spell that right!) museaum with all the Van Gogh and Rembrant paintings and the Anne Frank House. In all I had a wonderfull time! I will never forget this wonderfull expierience in my young life!  |

Just had to add I also got to see 3 of they 49 remaining Gutenberg Bibles, some of the origninal Gutenberg printing presses wich brought an end to the medievak times with new creation of mass media! Hhehhehe sorry I need to let out all the stuff I learned! I also got to keep the first page of the bible they made as a demonstration. I'm not Chritian or Catholic, and I don't really know If I believe that everything in the bible was true. I'm a Unitarian Universalist. But I still thought it was WAY cool!!!!!! I also got to blow glass! I made my own ornament! Oh and ZERO you would be proud! I had as much beer and wine as they would let me without over doing it!Once we tried this Smokey Beer that tasted like HAM!! IT was really good though! And once we went to a monestary and had this Bock Beer. The monks make it and I ordered a pretzel and beer in German and they brought me a cold white veal sausage with sweet mustard. It looked like a fat slug!!!!!!!!!!1 But is was MMMmmm good!!!!!! I'll write more later!!!!! So much to tell!

Great to hear you had a wonderful time Mika. I only wish when I was younger I had such experiences, but then I wouldn't be the person I am now. |

Wow, welcome back! My cousin went to germany not long ago and told me that beer was less expencive then water in restaurants  Now how cool is that!? |

Yes your cousin was right. In germany beer is the essential drink. During Lent monks would call beer liquid bread. I dunno why they thought it was like bread, but they sure liked it! |

I'm glad and happy you enjoyed your trip very much.. I love Europe too but I havent been to Germany or Austria tho'.. I've been to UK (almost all states), Scotland, Belgium, France and Netherland/Holland..
I like Paris (very romantic) and Amsterdam - boat ride thru the canal with the beautiful view and not to be missed the heaven of 'red lite district'.. ohh wait.. you're underage.. we'll talk bout it when you're much older :p |

O that's ok..... Now Rev don't freak out..... On our cruisey thing we had a semi - short visit to the red lite district. Well we walked past it, and stopped to look that's all. It's k Skylah I know vaugely what it is. Oh and I totally agree Amsterdam is very pretty with all the canals. We went on a canal ride. VERY fuN! I enjoyed it! |
