this is starting to sound like that old mini rpgish game on the atari 2600...
Anyone remeber... "Adventure"
Oh yeah... that was the stuff...
your character was a small square. You had to find a sword that was 3 times yoru size and fight a dragon that looked like a duck. After that you had to find the grail.
man.. those were the days. |

I SO remember my first RPG: Ancients.
Basic medieval style. You have a pseudo-3D view of the world (like in the PS games) and from the town you went down a floor of sewers, then two floors of tombs, then two floors of palace-like corridors, and then two floors of dungeon, all until you got to the last door, with two switches. Press the right switch and you get to fight the final boss. Press the wrong switch and you are teleported back to town. o.O
Then came Ancients II.  I was in such a hurry to beat it, I rushed through the last level with the lights off and by relying on the map I had printed!!  |

My first RPG... I remember it like it happened when I was 4... wait-- it did happen then!

Dragon Warrior... the first of a great series... then came Final Fantasy...
Then I was enlightened to the Sega Genesis. Then came the SNES. And then PSX, then DC, then PS2...
My, how time flies.
