Pictures of Nature's beauties - a.k.a. my flower collection ^^

Hey! Hmmm, hi everyone? I don't post much stuff here in the fanart forum other then replies to other members' arts. But now I felt like I had enough material to show in this thread! I'll post my personnal favorite pictures I've taken of the saxiest flowers out there ^^;

First off, the Ancolie, one of my favorite: it's white, it's like a star, and its tips are black, makes it look so darn pretty!

Second, the blurry bumble bee! Nothing is more annoying then trying to take a picture of such a frenzy little creature -_-, but it's fun and challenging! Besides, the result ain't too bad, well, I think.

Now, here are the Geranium, I think the flower programation input in the digi cam made the colors look way to bright, I personnaly prefer it when the colors look more authentique, but that's just me.

I like the Lysinacchia, it's a pretty unusual flower, looks "wild", straight coming out of the jungle, but actually (like most flwoers) they are really smaller then they look on pictures heyhey.

The purple Pensée like these were, back when I was a kid, my favorite flower, I like the color, and the "lucky charming" look they had, or something ...

This Pétunia is a very special Pétunia ... when I looked closer to it I realised it was inhabited by someone willing to be taken in picture!

This Rose here has the same problem that the Geranium had, its colors are blinding!

I have no idea what this flower is, but it closes itself at dawn, and opens itself at dusk, when the sun starts to shine, you can even hear them open up since the petals are dry and as hard as huh, little peices of wood.

I started with a favorite, I'll end with a favorite! I simply love this Gazania, the water drops, the healthy flower, and the blurry dead one in the background. Life, Death, both in the same picture! I love it.

That's it for now! I have about ... 30 others on my harddrive but as you can see, those are quite big files, and they are 2 times smaller then the original. So I have much compression to do and free image hosting sites to hunt. ^^

Ooo Mellow...those are sooo good!I'm not good with the cama yet. My dad walked in when I was looking at the piccies and he thought they were really pretty too. I'd like to see more. I'm going to set one of the pics as my background, considering they are big enough to be one ^^

Those are beautiful flowers. You must have an excellent green thumb.

The camera used is a digital Pentax Optio S. And the one with the green tumb is my mom ^^;; Those are, mostly, flowers from her garden, the Ancolie is from the neighbor's garden. And thx for the nice comments!

That is some amazing picture taking. Ive only ever gotten a picture to come out that nicely before, and it was by a fluke of lighting! Kudos on those pics man...they look real professional!
