PO's a year old! - Has it been a year already?

Congrats, you guys. I'm really impressed with how much you've done in a year's time. You've got a great thing going here. Can't wait to see how far it goes!

But seriously, I've seen this community grow so huge in a year or less, and I attribute it to the hard work of everyone.

In today's message board world, Pocket Otaku has always felt like a breath of fresh air, no drama, no nothing negative. I've never seen a negative word said between members, I've said a few I'm sure, but I regret it because it was out of place on this board.

I came here under another name, had it changed thanks to the doot-ness, and I felt like it was a new beginning for me. True, I'm not a heavy poster anymore, but I always read a lot of this forum, and this is only the third board I enjoy coming to. You've got a very good userbase here, and I hope it stays that way.

Doot- Keep being you, you're the best thing to happen to this board, and I'm sure you've touched everyone here in some way or another, I know you have me.

Shino- It's the tech d00d. You're a good guy, and I like you. I hope your dreams along with doot's come true with this board.

Punk Rock Girl - A good girl at heart, a damn fine artist. Keep it up girl.

Anyway now that that is said, where should I begin? So many people to thank, so little time to write. Anyway, here goes...

Chibi - I have to thank you first and foremost man. After all, if it wasn't for me working with you, I would never have even met anyone else here. I know Gamestop/Funco sucks, but I'm glad ya worked there for a while. Keep up the awesome drawing skills man. I am still in absolute awe everytime I see one of your latest drawings.

Doot - Well, you were the one who dragged me over to PO. Sure, it took me a month just to decide what screen name I wanted, but you finally got me. And then you even trusted me enough to make me a Mod. All I can say is thank you! I am amazed at the sheer amount of work you have put into this site. I really dunno how you do it. Keep up the good work, and get some sleep for once! BLUARGH!! LOL

Shino - Can't forget about my partner can I? Way too many things to thank you for. If Rina was the person who brought me here, you were the one to get me excited about it. How? By creating Black Forest!! LOL. Speaking of Black Forest, what's the chance of you starting another roleplay? Yeah, yeah, I know you're busy =P. Anyway, just reading the first few pages of BF made me want to join, to be a part of this community. Furthermore, Mr. Techie, I thank ya for always being there when I need help w/ my code. Don't worry, lol, I'll pay ya back... someday soon I should be able to help out w/ the technical side of the site a bit more. I do graduate in less than a year after all ^_^.

Sperrit - Even if no one else is around, I know I can always count on you. I mean, heck, if it wasn't for you, I might still not know how to put my PO image into my sig . Keep up the great writing man, even if you can't post as much. We still have to finish the stories!! You, most of all, have helped so much in developing a world and history here on PO. After developing this world so much, I'm not letting you off the hook now =P. Don't ever forget to Join the Fun

Nacht - The bestest best friend EVAR! You've helped in more ways than I can even describe. Always there to listen to my problems and to force me not to be so introverted. I still owe you way too much, there's no way I can ever thank you enough.

Katana - Where would I be without my little sister?? I mean, who else am I going to depart homework and game strategy guide knowledge to?? LOL, jk! You're the best little sister ever!! Get used to my big brother lectures, you're stuck w/ me now, lol.

Aiman - Well you and I go way back. PSO version 1, lol. You're never going to live down being the newbie, lol. Ahh, good times, dragging your butt through the ruins as you spent more time dead than alive . Dunno what to say except *kicks Aiman in the Juck and smacks him upside the head* . JK man. Keep up the great 3D work man and get a job at Square, lol.

Cobbi - Ahh, my fellow gamer. If I ever want to be the dork I am and spend hours talking about the latest and greatest games, I can always count on you. Of course, I have to be jealous of your music talent. I mean, WHO ISN'T?? lol. Anyway, you better hurry up and make a game remix! You had all summer and we're still waiting!! Keep up the great work man!

Sakura - One of the first people who really made me feel at home here. Granted, by feel at home, I mean getting pounced as I stepped through the door. I am glad I could be your guardian. I don't get to talk to ya much anymore, but you know if ya ever need me I'm always here. Don't forget to pass on the way of the pounce and huggle to all newbie PO's.

Azurel & Lews - Well, I really can't mention you guys without mentioning roleplaying. You and RP's go together, especially battle scenes. Thanks for being a great inspiration to me. The original vs fight between you two is classic, a great example of excellent roleplaying. And Lews, keep up the good work with the Java programming. I'm still amazed at how much you know just from high school.

And to everyone else, you've all made this place what it has become. It is because of all of you that that the PO we know and love exists. Because of you, it will continue to grow and thrive. Don't forget to Rock the Chibi! Do the Boom Boom Dance! And always remember to Join the Fun!

Hmm, I'm sure I missed some people, but I've been writing way too long. This does not bode well for me completing the assignment that's due tonight. Anyway, happy birthday PO! It's been one heck of a ride, and I'm sure it will continue to grow. It's awesome to know that as PO grows, I was here to see its beginning.

Wow, a year old. This site is the best in the world. It's my homepage. You have all changed me. I used to be one of those "haha, lol, so wat r u doing l8r man, lol!" Thanks to this wonderful site, and constant beatings by Lews, I try to type to the best of my abilities, and feel a certain aura of intelligence now.(granted, this has been maybe the 20th time I hit the backspace in this post.) Now for my shout-outs.

Lews: Your first man. You've been there for me...ah screw the mushy stuff, Ill just beat you down next time you come over, ok? But honestly, thanks for everything. You've given me great battles, huge ideas, help with magic. Oh, and Rayne how can I forget that you gave me my character, despite how he became a half demon not 2 months later. I always can count on you to help me with my spells/moves, or just general character development, you are truly the mind behind the man.EDIT: damn, the biggest thing, and I forgot to write it in, You showed me voodoomoose, which led to the fight, which led to Pocket Otaku, so I thank you for everything.

Sakura, minion, baby: Words...are hard to find. I have enjoyed every second of our companionship, our games, even the random talks we have. I feel I have bonded with you faster, and stronger than anybody else. I dont talk about it a lot cuz Im that macho guy who decides to not show any emotion...but when I need someone to talk to , your always there for me, and I really appreciate that. We also kept that good little master/minion thing going, that was fun for a while. -major lovage to teh sakura-

Musashi: You round up the three people that I must address directly, but you are in no way the worst. Ive gotta thank you for all-aroundness. Youve helped me with games, posts, mental images, hell- my love life, or lack there of. Just about everything I want in a friend, you have fulfilled, and I know we dont talk on that regular of a basis, but I feel close to you man, thanks.

And now, I hate to do this, but I have to generalize, because I dont know the rest of yhou all that well.

Teh old school team: Doot, Shino, Chibi, you were all there when I started at this place, and we had great times, even before we were in PO, like the finish the sentence thread. We even have great times now, despite my lack of posts in the threads. And...I hope we have many more years of PO. I'll try to post outside of battle forums, if my comp would stop killing itself.

the new team: ...er, I dont know anyone here(cept Musashi) But I have heard of your accomplishments, And I'd like to say, with the ever populated staff, you have made PO a safer, tidier place for me to live.

Anyone who has battled me: I thank you guys for allowing me to develop my talent, and establish a firmer grasp on character/spell ideas that Ive once had.

It's been great, and I love you all.

What can I say about this ?? Well, since I got here some friendships have been tested. Some have been broken, some have survived. My relationship with my beautiful asian girlfriend has gone through a lot and came out better than it was before and a lot of things had happened to me. There's always PO here for me, whenever I need it.

Doot - I love you sooo much !! You're like the bestest person ever !! I hope we can hang out soon !!

My life is changing so drasticly and well, it is nice to know there's always a place where I can come and hang out, share my ideas and art.
