I was thinking about getting a Ram upgrade but of course I have a dell with that expensive as crap RDRam in it.
My comp has 512M right now and 2 pairs of slots (ram of this type must be installed in pairs... right cobbi!). It is expandable to 2G of Ram. It makes no sense for me to go to 1G of Ram b/c if I ever wanted to upgrade again, then I would have to get rid of a pair. So I would have to go to 1.5G.
So I would have to buy a Gig of Ram. Everywhere I have looked is between $550 and $700 for that much.
Well I found a place online called 4AllMemory.com that has it for under $500.
Has anyone used them before?
Are they reliable?
Is their RAM good stuff?
Please let me know. |

hmmm, is that urgent that you upgrade? My friend here in Montreal owns a computer part shop and usually he has very good prices for memory, since we are gonna see each other at AWA in less then 2 weeks, I could buy them here and you could pay me back once I'm at atlanta, how that for a deal? ... but still, I can't help you when it comes to testafying this site's reliability. Just PM what type of memory you want, and I'll check it out here. |

1.5GB of RAM
Man and I only use 128MB of SDRAM...
But I did a quick checkaround and I didn't see any negative feedback on 4allmemory.com. So yeah I'd go for it Shino. And I'll be over in a little bit.

Well I actually went on pricewatch and found cheaper stuff.
Now I'm trying to figure out if it will be compatible with my picky a$$ dell!
I just know I need more. I have 512 and still lag like hell on SWG. Of course that just tells me that they needed to do more efficient job coding SWG! |

My 768 makes SWG run just perfectly on my comp now  The only major slowdown I'll get is when it's raining, but it's not too major. |

Well, it's official. My ram has been ordered
I got 1 G of PC800-40 RDRam from a company called 3BTech. They had the lowest price on PriceWatch.com
I paid a total of $356
If you go to dell.com ... that's how much they charge for 1 stick of 512M memory for my computer.
I will post again telling you guys how it went when I receive the ram!
