Astro Boy - The lost episode
2003 is the 40th anniversary of Astro Boy's appearance in America as an anime series, and the 50th anniversary of the manga. To celebrate this occasion, AWA will be presenting on Friday, September 26, a showing of the never before seen 1963 Astro Boy Episode, "Expedition to Mars", and a panel with the producer of the TV show, Fred Ladd. This will be followed by a drawing of Kimba & Gigantor DVD box sets courtesy of Rhino Records, and Astro Boy VHS tapes from the Right Stuf International. We will have an Astro Boy 40th Anniversary panel on the following Saturday with Fred Ladd and Peter Fernandez, and a few surprises.
You bet I'm sooo gonna be there! Anyone else interested? I think I'm gonna buy myself overly-expencive fan stuff to commemorate the 50th anniversary! Mwahaha |
