So yer saying that the avergae moviegoer wouldn't get it?
Half the people who see Eva don't get it. Or, at least, we don't know what the right thing to "get" is. There would likely be an ending of some sort put on it, just so that people don't go out scratching their heads at it.
Although, I might go see it just to see how well or poorly they stuck to Eva. |

Yes, I am saying the average movie isn't intelligent enough to get the NGE movie, not saying that I understood it perfectly but I understood it more then any average movie go'er. |

I see Milla Jovovic as a good one for Asuka... She was pretty good in Resident Evil at least. 
I know who to put in as Shinji: the dude who played Eric Forman. Dammit, he looks so much younger than he really is. And the guy playing Hyde would make for a PERFECT Gendou.
