I've always said that a clinically insane villain is certainly hard to top, because no matter what they'll be ruthless to no extent and beyond any ammount of guilt human emotions would provide them. And so Albedo and Kefka also get Cobbi thumbs up Yes Way

I'd say the best villan is in Gunbound ... yup, and the villain is: Teh game itself!!!!11!

There is nothing more villan the those villonious laws of physic in this villan game!

How many people here have played Live a Live? That has got to have one of the coolest villains ever. The story for the main badguy is done in such a way that they actually make you feel sorry for him, and completely understand why he wants to destroy all of time.

*SPOILER ALERT*

He starts out as a swordsman in a royal tourney. The winner gets to marry the princess. The last round comes down to you and your best friend who's a mage. You win, but at the feast that night the princess gets kidnapped by the demon king.
You and your best friend have to go save her, but you can't get into the castle. You go get the help of this old hero dude who had beat the demon king a long time ago. You get into the castle, and eventually get to a deadend with a statue of the demonking. Suddenly there's a cave in, and your best friend pushes the two of you out of the room at the last seccond. You go back to the castle and spend the night. In the middle of the night you are awoken by the demonking. You follow him out to the throne room and confront him in battle. After killing him he turns into the king. The chancelor comes in to see what all the noise is about and sees you standing over the dead king. He calls the guards to put you and the old guy in the dungeon to await execution. You strugle, they knock you out. Whenyou come too the old guy has been tortured to get him to tell them what they want to know. He uses the last of his strength to teleport you out of your cell, then he dies. You escape and return to the demonking's castle to get some answers. When you make it to the statue room again there's no damage from the cave-in. You discover a secret staircase that leads to a cliff with another statue of the demonking. Your best friend appears in front of you and says that he's already killed the demonking and rescued the princess. He says that the statue alows him to have the powers of the demonking for himself, and the only thing he still has to do is kill you. After the fight he explains that he caused the cave-in and tricked you into killing the king, because you were always the better of the two of you. After he dies the princess runs out and yells at you, telling you that she was in love with him, and that you had no idea how he felt all those years. She then kills herself so she can be with him. With nothing at all left you go nuts and take the power of the demonking to get revenge on all humanity. He then kills everyone in the kingdom and goes through time to destroy the history and future. So he's not only the last boss of the game, but also the last boss for every scenario. Pretty screwed up.

I think got confused at the end. Who's the last boss of every scenario ? Your friend or the main guy ? And where can I find this game ?

The main guy. The last scenario has all the characters from the other scenarios taken from their times for the final battle. You pick the lead character before you begin and the other characters are in various places around the map.

I can't put the url itself down because it's against the rules, but the name of the site is Planet Emulation. Just do a search. You should be able to find it.

My top 5:

#5: GOLDEN SILVER (Gunstar Heroes)
The dude himself is an invincible robot who can do shoulder charges, rolling bombs, teleport punches, energy throws, or simple grab-and-punch for massive damage. How do you kill him? You gotta hit the four gems orbiting around him. One gem can shoot lasers at you, another is a rolling tongue of fire, another is a seeker ball of energy, and the last one is a rapid-fire machine gun. No quotes, no words, no taunts. Golden Silver doesn't speak. He just kicks your ass and hands it over to you on a silver plate. End of game boss = TEH WIN!

#4: LASHIEK (Phantasy Star IV)
If anything, the old Lassic from the first Phantasy Star sucked ass. A horned helmet, red eyes, a staff, we've all seen it way too often. Therefore, the new remix. Zombie face, badass attitude, and he actually puts up a great fight that keeps you on your toes without getting too frustrating.

#3: DRACULA (All the Castlevania Games)
You can't kill this guy; he just keeps resurrecting!!! Plus, he lives in an ever-chancing sweet-ass cool castle, with tons of exploration, items, relics, monsters and other stuff to entertain you before you feel ready for da big fight. Plus, he's the only boss I know of who needs to be disposed up with whip cracks. Sciler's gonna love this one.

#2: THE PROFOUND DARKNESS (Phantasy Star IV)
You are standing in a black hole vortex, and what pops into your face? A huge badass metal alien angel, with megs-claws for wings, lasers for hair, and enough laser-shooting eye-orbs to disintegrate you a million times over. Like Golden Silver, Profound Darkness doesn't say a word. She just kicks your ass.

#1: GREEN (Gunstar Heroes)
This dude is the essence of coolness when it comes to villains. First off, he doesn't waste time with minions or mini-attacks whatsoever. The first time you meet him, he greets you with a huge mech warrior capable of changing into seven forms, namely a tiger, a circular saw, an eagle, and even A HUGE PISTOL!!! And when he attacks, he does it with style and speed. And if that's not enough, he decides to greet you once again while you're in outer space catching up with the enemy ship. The same robot again but this time on a wider scale. He will shoot you, charge at you, spin at you - hell, he's gone nuts. And if you think you're through yet, well no! Just before the end boss, he comes out of the control room and gets into guard. That's right. He doesn't use guns or rocket launchers or special powers, hell no. This dude is so badass he goes against you BAREHANDED! And believe you me, he can kick your butt like there's no tomorrow, even if you have the best gun in the world. And he's got an excuse too: he's your older brother and he's under mind control from the evil empire. Hehe.
