Hey all, we all know that the most antisipated game (to me at least) of all times if coming out in two weeks. So after playing SWG on my laptop and having a somewhat miserable time playing it, i wasn't going to pick up FFXI unitl the PS2 version next spring. But, I just ran the Bench Test to see just how i would rank. I scored a 2285. Now i think this is about average. So my question is to all the Beta testers...what is your bench and how well did it run. Now i know that other elements will amp the gameplay, but wanted to see if it was worth picking up for my laptop or waiting.

It will run better if you do these things:
Make sure you have the latest drivers.
Defrag your computer ,like, two times.
Invest into a new graphics card....lol |

No can do on the GC....laptop. SWG worked ok...but maybe I'll just wait. |

The test ran chopping on my computer, but FFXI runs beautifully. Don't worry, it's not hard of a game to run. |

I can't believe that it would take more then what my system has. I can't say I believe the 7000 to 8000 pt Benchmark. Do you have documentation of this?
I'm running a P4 2.4 with 1.5 G of ram and a 128 M Vid card
Cobbi said he has everything cranked and it runs fine on his and I run Galaxies better then him, so I'm not worried. Chibs, I think you will be in good shape. |
