The icons represent various elements. On armor, it's elemental resistance. These icons also show up near the clock/radar when there's various weather going on. If weather is happening outside, that also means an elemental of the appropriate element is lurking somewhere too. (Elements can also be affected by what day of the week it is, each of which is associated with an element too. On Firesday, the element of fire will be boosted in magic casting, as well as fire crystals for guilding.)
Blue dot (ball of ice) = Ice = Light blue.
Single element: Snow.
Double element: Blizzard.
Fireball = Fire = Red.
Single element: Bright sun.
Double element: Heatwave!
Wind swirl = Aero = Green.
Single element: Heavy winds.
Double element: Very strong winds.
Rock = Earth = Yellow.
Single element: Sand storm.
Double element: Tornado.
Lightningbolt = Lightning = Purple.
Single element: A bit of lightning.
Double element: Powerful lightning storm.
Droplet = Water = Blue.
Single element: Rain.
Double element: Monsoon!
Starburst = Light = White.
Weather: Aurora borealis
Dark swirl = Darkness = Black.
Weather: Purple mist. |

They're called jobs in FFXI~ People might get on yer case about that, I'm fairly leniant hehe.
I've got a lot of favorates really..
Dragoon*: Awesome lookin' armor, a lance, a pet wyvern, and jumping!
Red Mage: Melee combined with white and black magic, and some unique magic as well. I love the versitality.
Ninja*: Tarus just look awesome casting ninjutsu, and it gives them an opportunity to tank too, wehe.
Summoner*: After getting a few summons last night, damn it's awesome calling em and fighting with em. It's just such a high commitment to raise it succesfully, as you need to have a job at around level 60 to get all the summons.
*Any jobs with teh asterix next to em are Advanced Jobs. They require /any/ job to be level 30, and then you do the quest in order to be able to change to em. |

For high-res screens, just use anything but the default picture taker <^ -> |

Question: What do you think of Black mage/ninja?
I don't know much about the Ninja's abilities, but being able to dual weild a couple of wands with nice stat bonus's would be cool.
eg. Yew Wand 18 Damage: 7 Delay: 216 INT: 3 MND: 3
Just curious. |

Y'know I've never seen anyone do that combo, but it might actually work.
The problem is though, that the BLM wouldn't get any MP or INT bonuses, and would also not be able to heal. But in a solid party, I think it could be a possibility. |

Shino Fade into this fantasy, caught in the web of time

OK here's a question...
The other day, I saw a NIN/WAR (or maybe it was WAR/NIN) wielding 2 1h swords. Not katanas, 1h swords.
so my question is, can a NIN/WAR or WAR/NIN (prefereably NIN/WAR)wield two different types of weapons at the same time.
Mainly I'm thinking 1h Sword in right hand and katana in left hand.
If this is possible, then Shinobishi can use weapons in the same form that Shino does. |
