Holy teh crap. This looks friggin' awesome.

Remember how great the Game Boy games were? And how we all loved the three-D battles in the Stadium games? This combines the two. An actual adventure mode for once in a 3-D version is the main quest. You'll go through the lands capturing 'dark' Pokemon. Dark Pokemon are those who have been abused, and now have hardened hearts. You can steal them from your opponents as well as capture them on the field, then train them to be good again!

Each town/area has storyline events akin to the GB games. Once you complete all the events in a particular area, the colloseum is unlocked for that area, and a tournament will occur. Win the tournament to clear the area!

Because of how Ruby and Sapphire work, two-vs-two matches will be a big part of the game, too. You can even hook up four GBA's and all duke it out!

I just hope there's the mini-games. Man, I loved the Hitmontop game from Stadium 2...

I LOVED Stadium 2. Somehow I lost all of my N64 games tho so my Pokemon fixes have been mostly on the PC. I finished Ruby on my GBA but I always hated replaying just to get them to Level 50 or 100 just to do the special battles (I have the Pokemon ECards with special trainers too) so I haven't replayed it much. There aren't that many of us PokeFans left but I am definitely getting this. I am so hyped about the real rpg mode altho I think the story is kinda weak. I'll probably pre-order so I can get the Jirachi disk too.

What's the deal with Jirachi? I shied away from Ru and Saph because of some reaaaly stupid names they gave some of the Pokemon, and the lack of creativity in their creation alltogether.

Well namewise, almost all of the new Pokes are ridiculous. They seem to get worse every set. Jirachi is the hidden Poke (like Mew was in the original set). You can only get him (legally) thru the disc that comes with preordering Colloseum. I don't know if he's any good or what (I think he's psychic) but he's the incentive to pre-order. Since I know I'm getting the game anyway I figure...why not?

Jirachi is steel/psychic. Some pretty decent moves like Wish, Pyshic and this one move exclusive to him called doom desire which i forget atm what it does. There is another hidden poke in R/S called Deoxys. Like the mewtwo of old it's one evil bastage. It's a mutated Space virus that was uncovered when a meteorite hit earth. There's supposed to be a movie about him coming out. Also that movie stars Rayquaza and i think the real groudon.

Well I do hope they have a bit more in the replay department after you finish the game than the GB games. Just replaying the same Elite Champs is a bit boring and unsatisfying. I do like that you can replay some of the trainers you find throughout the game but they should also adjust their pokemon levels to match yours. That way it'd always be good battling instead of you either sending your level 60 Poke against their level 10 or having to go back and form a new team just because they are of a lower level than you.

Also shouldn't you have to use the same type in Gym battles? I mean if you go to a Flying Gym and use Thunder attacks what are you proving? That you can be cheap? To win a badge you should have to use the same type Pokemon as the Gym leader. That would prove you're a good trainer, not by using the Gym leader's weakness.

Gotta get back to working on my Pokemon TCG RPG. Stay tuned fellow PO...

OK, two weeks to go and it's getting better. Poke Coll looks to be one of the better games out this month and I'm looking forward to it. I am even debating getting a GS or Codebreaker just so I can start with Flareon. Depends on how easy it is to transfer Pokes from Ruby/Sapphire. I've heard it's not that simple (probably have to reach a certain level or something.

I have also heard it's FAR from being a true rpg like the Gameboy games. Oh well, we can't have everything, can we?

You have to beat the rpg mode before you can upload your pokemon from Ruby/saphire. After you do you can even keep the pokemon you won in the rpg mode and transfer them to your ruby saphire games. You can unlock some of the older pokemon like Ho-oh and others for use in R/S. Dont forget that The recreated Red and Green version are coming out here. Those two are almost like new games. Completely revamped with new areas and what not. Plus they will have all the oldies like Mewtwo plus some new guys like the infamous Deoxys. Between Red/green, ruby/saphire, and colloseum you can get any pokemon. Yes they all work with colloseum and are inter-tradeable. Ie you can trade ruby version with red/green and there are no restrictions on trades.

Stadium 2 was alright. Everything was great but they had alot of weird ideas. Like strange type advantages and such. Example..I had pidgeotto and was just killing Pikachu...and I know it isn't talent...i am not that good! Smile

But I cannot wait for PC to come out....oooooh

I liked Stadium 2. I skipped Stadium 1 cause it didn't have all the Pokes but PS2 was cool. I usually ran with my Steelix (Sandstorm, Earthquake, Flamethrower, and Dig) and Flareon (Sludge Bomb, Spore, Flamethrower, Tri Attack) combo mostly.

I'm just a bit disappointed cause I hear PC isn't that deep as an rpg and you'd THINK that going onto a bigger platform like the GC they could have made a really big rpg-style game. Hell, they could have left it all spritely for my money. I figure you could combine Red/Blue, Gold/Silver, and Ruby/Sapphire into one on a GC disc. Put all 18 billion Pokes, Teams Rocket, Magma, Agua, & even Madden in it, and top it all with a creamy whipped frosting (Mmmm...frosting...rrraahrrraarr) and that would surely satisfy all us Pokefans. Ah...but what do I know? I'm still waiting for Pokemon TCG2 to come over. Sad
