OOC: Slight problem-- not that I mind failing, but Shandriz wasn't trying to get help, she was trying to -give- it.

OOC: It was a generous effort, as far as it went. To pass the test, however, she had to ask for help. All she had to do was call out, something along the lines of "Hey, up there! I could use a little help!" The moral of the story being that if you go through everything believing that you are the only one who can do anything, you will fail. I realize it wasn't perfect, but I don't know much about your character, so I can't really test her very well. The only reason I was able to do as much as I did is because I've read the Icewind Dale Trilogy. I noticed the similarities your character presents to the everlastingly awesome Drizzt Do'Urden, and I figured there might be other similarities as well. Combine that with the general profile of any hero, and I figured you probably wouldn't ask for help if it was available, but would instead try to solve the problem alone. Thus I designed the test to reflect that. Every character has his or her own flaws and fortes, but if you'll hesitate to ask for help from someone you know will help you and that you can trust, then you have some learning to do. I'm not saying I'm perfect. I would probably do the same thing you did, and I have plenty of my own issues. But if I'm talking pure logic, which is what I do whenever I write about Lews and Damion, then I see that certain flaw. It was also something I hadn't done before with the test :p Anyway, I hope I made sense. My logic often makes perfect sense to me but absolutely none to anyone else. Not that I'm smarter or anything, but I often look at things in a different light...

Yeah, every time I say something I dig my grave a little deeper so I'm just going to shut up now. Feel free to ask any other questions you might have.


On the other hand, if that wasn't what you meant...hmmm...When I said she suddenly realized her source of help was gone, I meant to imply that, not only was that information planted in her brain, but that also she realized that she was supposed to ask for help...Again, I hope I made sense.

OOC: Thankyou! ^_^ I was just making sure you'd got my intentions right, that's all. Since the way you'd said it it seemed like she hadn't at least been trying to do something helpful. . ^_^ but, yes, I agree with your logic completely. Again, I don't mind having failed-- I'd have an interesting time trying to put this into her timeline anyhow.

She was back in the village, just minutes after her kin had been slaughtered. Just as she was turning to leave, she noticed movement on the killing grounds. Her previous rage assuaged, she looked back in curiosity. Kiril was struggling to pick himself up off the ground. One arm was a bloody stump, and part of his face was missing, but he looked at her all the same, and began to beg. With only half a mouth, his words were slurred but intelligable. "Nacht...Nacht, help me...They're too strong...We need-...Help me, Nacht...Please...I love you..."

Nacht turned and tried to walk away before she lost consciouness, having just been defeated by the very one now asking for her help.

Kiril slumps back to the ground and is silent as his former love walks away.
