what is a pocket otaku and how can i get one??

ok so im new and ive been seeing those lil pics under ppls names with info and stuff. i believe there called pocket otaku's ..well how do i get one. i heard they were $20 just for one...so if so i dont think ill get one anytime soon. but there pretty damn kool if you ask me ^_^ so iwas just woulndering and if you guys can explain a lil more about them id greatly appreciate it. thx

Hi Kajiru,

That's a great question.

A PO is a custom made chibi-like character that is made specifically for you. You give us an idea of what you see in a hero, or heroine, or maybe you as a super hero or whatever you want. Then we bring that idea to life with our custom style.

Then you are permitted to use that picture, well, pretty much wherever you want (assuming you credit PocketOtaku.com for it and link to us) Wink

What actually is $20 is full access to the site and one of the things included in that is your own PO. You can use that PO in our role playing forums (Ready... Fight) as well as be involved in several other things like comic camios and PO of the Day hosted by the one and only Excel Zero.

Other perks. If you ever come to a convention that we are going to be at, we will make you a badge with your PO on it. You can also get it on different items in our store and the list goes on.

Right now we are in the works of a pretty much complete overhaul of the website, so our artists are busy with the design of that... so unfortunatly, right now, we are not taking any new POs. But be aware that this is only temporary. There are a couple of artist prospects out there for us, but mimicing the PO style is key for them to come aboard. If they do that it is possible that we may pick things up again earlier than later.

Rest assured, we are all very busy working on the site for you and all the rest of our memebers. Once our artists finish the new site design, PO submission will be accepted again.

Not to mention that's a really good description of PO. Those who tour the convention circuit will meet up with PO people at one point or another.

OMG you guys were at anime weekend atlanta (AWA) i was there this year....awsome wasnt it...is PO made of mostly georgians???? im goin next year ill definatly have to see some of you that are there...
