Me, afroforce and terin. Im thinking we should start holding some PO tourneys. If you figtht in a tournament online you gain meseta which you can use to buy a random card. Think bubblegum machine and youll get the idea.

Well I don't think I'll be getting the modem soon but I am loving this game. I've been going into Free Battle and doing a couple of team games. Friggin' Pan Arms and Hildebeasts are Hell! Actually I spent the entire match running from the Hildebeats (two of them!) so I don't know how dangerous they are. Just reading their special abilities was enough for me to not want to find out tho.
I've yet to put together a strong Hunter card combo I basically try to start with a shield card rely on my Durandel to try and kill the enemy and ignore the monsters. It seems all I get in packs are monster cards tho! My rankings have been sucking tho so maybe that's the prob. BTW, does it matter which pack of cards to pick? No matter what I pick I get at least two monsters in every five cards. When I switch to Arkz side I guess I'll be set.

This would ba an awesome game if someone dropped the "S" and made it "PO: Card Revolution". Heh, heh.

Actually the pack does matter.
Blue=more monsters
Red=more items
Green=more action/assist
Grey=mix

Im done with both sides now but i need to replay them for some cutscenes i missed.
psoworld has a list but there are some that aren't listed so make sure to talk to each person between each mission tier to make sure if a specific one needs to go somewhere. also there are some divergent cutscenes. like at the last battle there is a different cutscene if you pick one of the beginning hunters or arkz

OK, I'm digging the game but I have a question: IS it me or does anyone else out there notice the game is just too damn easy? I kinda hope the intention is "Play online for more competition!!!" but I'm winning like every battle I play with my controller tied to my nuts. I have around 45 wins and two losses and both of those came in team battles where my partner died because she was too damn stupid (summoned Dark Gunners that syphoned off her own life points). I'm playing the Quest and Free battles mostly in an effort to extend the game life cause it feels that if I just go through the story modes I'll finish the entire game in one day...and it's gotta last at least until the weekend when my Pokemon Colloseum gets here! LOL

I may have to check this game out. You guys make it sound pretty darn cool.

I've never been into the card games though.

What are the chances I would like it.

razer you have to beat each story multiple times to beat all sidequests and watch every cutscene. It gets alot harder the second time through.

Well as a fellow PSO fan I will say you may not like it, Shino. In all reality there is zero RPG experience in this one. It's solely a card game with the PSo license slapped on it. On the other hand as a card game fan I do enjoy it. There's good on both sides. Here's what I mean...

A sample "quest" goes like this: You go to the control station and select a quest. Let's say "Rescue Doot from the Arkz kidnappers"
You select your representative (your PO) and deck (tied together actually) and hit Confirm. You then are taken down to the battle scene (through a lovely flyby which dazzles you with the sights in an attempt to make you forget that you're *supposed* to be doing something and set up. Each team (1-on-1 or 2-on-2) is placed on the grid field and the match starts. At the end of the match (assuming you win) you are beamed back up to the ship and they congratulate you (you get a text screen after the match saying how you thwarted the bad guys and rescued Doot). That's it. There is no actual role playing involved. Each "mission" is simply a little lie to get you to play the other team in a card battle. Harsh reality here but it's got nothing at all to do with PSO.

On the other hand...
Virtually every aspect of PSO is represented (mostly by cards) from the Rappys to the end bosses. Each weapon, spell, and item is there as cards so you will feel a level of familiarity. Just like the game Forces can only use some things while Hunters can use some others. Humanoids can see traps and avoid status changes (poison, etc) so it is all good. I like it.

But you know me, I gotta give you the straight dope. Use a mem card you want to save it to tho because you cannot transfer the files. Like PSO they lock to the card upon creation so if you do get it you'll be stuck on that card and the game takes quite a bit of blocks.
I'd say rent it first and give it a good one to three hours. Then make your own decision. I'm gonna try anything to get you into card games (I say as I pore thru my Pokemon Team Magma card lot with Pokemon Colloseum playing on the TV behind me) but it's up to you. I'm just laying it out now...If you think you're gonna get an experience even remotely similar to PSO, you're fooling yourself. This is strictly a card game.

Hope that helped.
