Orbit books predicts Spring, 2005 release for Book 11
August 27, 2003

Orbit Books, Jordan's UK publisher, reported in their August newsletter that Book 11 will be available sometime in the Spring of 2005. They received this information from Tor Books.

"...according to the eggheads at Orbit, the novel - as yet untitled - is scheduled for publication in early Spring of 2005. They also ask us to say (though we're sure we've previously reported it, but now they've found a bigger stick than ours, so...) there will be a Wheel of Time prequel, called New Spring, coming out in hardback in the interim."
Until now, all previous estimates claimed that the 11th book (which still has no title) would be available at the end of 2004.

Read both Wheel of Time and the Wrinkle in Time series (which is probably one of my all-time favourite series ever) and love them both ^_^ Also, am not happy about book 11 not coming out until 2005. Although, this means I have a whole year to read book 10...not that it's worth my time, according to just about everyone.

Also, yes, Perrin does rock. And Rand sucks. And Nynaeve is kick-arse awesome. ^_^

So is Elyas, but I'm one of very few who thinks -that-

Elyas rocks.

And book ten is VITAL. VITAL. And it is GOOD. So you can kick all those nonbelievers in the junk.

At the moment i'm wanting to stick with the orginal characters because some of the new ones arent all that interesting. So would be buying new spring be a good money spending?

myself i thought book 10 was wasnt that good. I know its necisary, but it was just pretty boreing. It set up a whole bunch of cool stuff, but not a whole lot of cool stuff actually happend, im really lookin forward to book 11 though
curently im on book 4 again though so i hope to finish up with book 10 some where around the book 11 release

I loved book 10. Tuon and Mat are hilarious, and the situation with Elayne and the Darkfriend guard-captain (forgot his name) is rather intriguing.

Elyas rocks and I can't wait for book eleven. I have a question, though. Where does he come up with his names? WHERE DOES ROBERT JORDAN GET THE NAMES HE USES!?

My new strategy when finding names to use in my stories:

Look in the Bible and vary on the names contained therein. Wink

If I can't come up with something good off the top of my head I'll search for "[insert nationality here] Genealogy" and pick a name that pops up.
