The end of the Pokemon TCG???

Okay, so it was an April Fools joke. At least one of you could have fallen for it. Sheesh!







Nintendo has announced that they were recently turned down in their bid to continue producing the Pokemon TCG card game.

They go on to say that the game will be ending. Funny...when they orchestrated taking the game away from Wizards of the Coast they went on about how they would do this and that. They're support was far and away pathetic compared to what Wizards did (and I'm no Wixards fan). Now they simply say
"We felt our proposal was fair and appropriate based on what we knew the property to be worth".
That's the same thing WotC said in their press release. Now The Pokemon Company turned down Nin's offer so I doubt the game will be ending. You don't say "No, that's too much to ask for. I'd rather stop selling my billion dollar a year product altogether". Someone will get it, maybe even Wizards again. My guess is Upper Deck will take it and totally monoplize the 7-15 age group (with Yugioh & Pokemon).
As long as someone picks it up here, I'll be happy. If not then I enjoyed it as the best card game I've played over the last 5 years or so.
