Yeah Dai and I realy didnt get to play it much but my opion is the same as his. If you like this game.... go buy any of the Armored Cores'. Better gameplay, controls, dialogue, and as far as I can tell much more customizable mechs.
IMO its AC tuned down for a much younger audience. |

Not to say I don't like it (I'm on my way to my friend's house to play it now) but the biggest flaw is what's NOT there. The game has so much potential to be better (starting with the story) but seems to have just said "Eh, that's enough".
I never got into AC tho, too much management. Best robo game I ever played was actually Robo Pit (Sega Saturn) now that I think about it. |

personaly, i think AC is a better game, mostly becuase it gives me more control of each Armored Core, and for those of you who played Virtual On, i think that it may be one of the most fun arcade mech games known to man, and all it lacked was the customizable abilities. But the thing that appealed to me about this game was the fact that it combined some of the customizability of AC, and then added the battling gameplay of Virtual On with some additional changes to background and maps. The only thing that the game lacks, now that i really delve into it, is depth. The game is too easy. Like razer said, you could pretty much mash the buttons and hope that your weapons lock on better than you opponenets. That was extremely similar to both VO and AC, whereas in VO, you could just mash the joysticks and hope you shot faster, and in AC you could just equip the most massive weapons and own them all.
What ive noticed about all 3 of these games (Custom Robo, Virtual On, and AC) is that if you really get into the games and really try to do things other than mash buttons and the such, the game really gets addicting
Now, if only the came wasnt so damn easy... Aside from that, im gonna shut up now
That is all |

In the newest nintendo power they have a submission contest where you send them the designs for your custom robo along with a picture and they pit them against each other or something and the winner gets a life like model of their custom robo. |

BAH. FFXI = Over rated.
I'd rather play CR over that and I don't even like CR! |

I just picked it up 2 days ago and I've already beaten it. I like the battle system, though I don't how it makes you keep retrying before you win. YOu should have a losing streak and the story should fragment when you lose. Other than that I enjoyed it, and I'm sorry, bu the storyline is pretty cool, with a shocker ending.

Dude...the world IS flat!!!!!!
i got that question wrong...
if maybe they allowed a much more expansive realm of the outer world, i would have enjoyed much more time, but it only had two areas, and it kind of got boring after that, since i owned the trophy battles in no time flat.

I'm still working on the grand battles. Do you get access to the illegal parts if you turn off the restriction in the options menu??
