what a game!!!

ok i know im late with this, but those of you who didnt watch the France V England group B match of Euro 2004 missed one of the best sporting events of modern history!!! this was better than England V argentina 1998 or England V Brazil !970!!

england lost 2-1, with france scoring a free kick and penalty in the the 3 minutes added onto the end of the match as stoppage time, and suddenly every englishmans dreams are shattered by 3 men, and one of them isn't a goalkeeper or a english penalty taker for a change!!!

no this time it was Emile Heskey (why the hell did eriksson even take him on the plane to portugal?? the guy cant kick a ball to save his life!!! he's had such a bad season that liverpool sold him to birmingham city!!! i mean has he actually ever scored for england???) who fouled zidane, literally 6 strides outside the box, zidane took the free kcik and it went straight past david james, so thats 2 of 3 heart breakers (zidane and heskey) the third is Thierry Henry, with the only decent move he made during the whole match, steven gerrard played a terrible backpass to david james, which james could not handle so he would have to get rid of it using his feet, but henry being one of the fastest players in the game, beat james to the ball and james had already commited, cue henry getiing a 10 10 10 10 10 rating for a swan dive that any olympic diver would be proud of (im not saying he dived, he was taken down, but he did make it look a hell of a lot more than it actually was) and again, zidane steps up, this time to take a penalty, which leaves james standing, the final whistle blows seconds later and almost every englishman in the worlds heart has sank.

I played soccer once, I think I'm good too. I managed to tackle someone just laying there!
This guy fell over me and was like 'AAARGH I HIT MY FOOT ON THIS F***ING BRICK!!'
I then got thrown out of the game.

Woohuu look like France's bid to secure a place in the Euro 2004 quarter-finals with one Group B game to spare was thwarted as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Croatia.

Yeah France out.. *sob sob*.. now the final are between Portugal v. Greece.. and I dont care who win.. but I think Portugal have the advantage cos playin at own ground..
