Keira Knightley was indeed the lead chick in Pirates. She was also in Love Actually, as mentioned. And in the Disney Movie "Princess of Thieves" (I've never seen it, but want to desperately)
At any rate, she roxxors. The movie is -awesome- as it goes more for historical accuracy than myth accuracy.
VAGUE SPOILER: I'm glad that a certain person who shall remain nameless dies, and am sad that the other two knights who died do.
SPOILER OVER:
You should all see it at least once ^_^ |

I never said it was -completely- historically accurate. But Arthur's at least a Roman, and Merlin is just an older man who wants to preserve his people. He's called the "Black Mage" but he's really just a very very smart man. |

Right, but through his sheer pervasiveness in the story, you cannot really be historically accurate at all until you remove him. I mean, turning a magician into an old guy is all well and good, but that just removes the magic. The simple lack thereof does not alone make a movie anywhere near accurate, and I forward that since they are willing to kill off one of the coolest parts of the story, namely the magic, then they absolutely should have removed Lancelot. Therefore: I'll be waiting for DVD. |

DIdn't King Arthur Die signing a treaty when one of the knights got stung by a bee and thought it was an attack so he drew his sword and Arthur got Mortally wounded?
And Lancelot was Banging Guenivere on the side so I always hated the most "Chivalrous" Knight in the world.
I ain't done seen the movie and don't want to really...Can someone either E-mail me the entire plot and stuff or post a spoiler to see if I'm missing anything? |

Lancelot and Gwen's affair, as best I can tell, was an addition to the legend by some very women-hating monks quite a bit of time after the legend itself came into existence. Good Christian values, and all that, for the time. |
