You have high hopes for this game AzVegeta, I just hope you're ready for the fact that Konami might crush them mercilessly!
But, yeah the only reason I'd get this is if they come out with lots and i mean lots of good games, cuz honestly I'm not gonna fork over some $300 odd dollars for a mobile PS1. |

2 things...
1) I doubt the price will be $300, probably more like $200. No official price has been mentioned but the initial estimate that was released with the concept designs of the machine was between $125 and $200. I'm thinking more along the lines of $200 to $250. Still pricy for a portable, but less than $300 is good.
2) This is actually closer to a ps2 than a ps1. The PSP is a more powerful machine than the Dreamcast. But not quite as powerful as the ps2. |

Well then, that makes it more acceptable! But, getting a little off-topic, am I the only one that finds it slightly annoying at how quickly nex-gen consoles are coming out? I like my PS2 and GBA, I dont't want get rid of them after only owning them for like two to three years! |

You have to realize Zane that at the speed in which technology is going, consumers demand more up to date hardware much sooner than they used to. I am with you though, I would much rather put the money I spent in those systems to much longer use, but the companies want use to spend more money on them. The sad part about it is that we will..... without a second thought.
If you think about it, the PS2 will have been out for 5 years when PS3 comes out. Thats an awful long time, but I can definatley see the handheld side of it. You can't blame Nintendo though..... this is the first time they have had ANY competition in the handheld market since........Game Gear??? |

Eh, still I didn't get my PS2 until the very first price drop which was only a couple of years ago, so I'm probably gonna do the same for the PS3. As for the PSP, I think I'll wait for the first price drop as well, unless Advent Children comes out for PSP only before the price drop. |

Technically, the PS2 came out in 2000. The PS3 will be displayed for the first time next year and is set for release in 2006.
So that's about right. They are on a 10 year lifecycle.. or so they say. That's why they do backwards compatiblity.
PS1 came out in 1994. 6 years later, the PS2 comes out. 4 years after that, they still make select games for the PS1.
The same thing will hopefully happen now. In 2006, the PS3 will come out. It will be backwards compatitible and in 2010, they will still be making select PS2 games. |
