-relief sigh- Just an update, things are starting to look up again for me and I'd like to thank everyone who kept me sane (everyone in this thread and then some).

Otakon will be happening this year for me, going with my friend on Saturday and we'll meet up with a group of 5-20 people (depending on their own situations). Because I know Amelia just crashed her car so her and mark can't come. And my old best friend has work Sat, even though he's gonna try and call in sick.

As for AWA: despite my better judgement, I'm going to try and go without my parent's permission. My birthday is coming up, I'll have well over enough money for my train ticket, AWA ticket, and spending money. Now my biggest problem is getting to that train, I'll be able to drive at that point (if my mom realizes that I'll need to drive myself to college and actually lets me get my lisence) but I'll have one of my parents cars. I'm thinking about taking my truck (even rednecks think it's a p.o.s.), but they still will probably get mad. Now, I'm doing this all under the hopes that my parents will be as soft on my punishments as they always are. -crosses fingers-

That's a tough call, and could backfire on you. But perhaps the best way to get them past the jitters is to just do it.

If your parents are the panicy type that wouldn't be such a good idea. At the very least leave them a note, just hope you are well out of the city before they find it. Either way I hope to see you at AWA and wish you luck on whatever you decide to do.

I just thought of this, but I want to make clear the fact that you absolutely should not do this if it's just because I keep pestering you about it. If that's the reason, remove the idea from your head at once, because it's not worth the shit you're going to put yourself through with your parents.

Yea, did I tell you what happened on new years? I didn't get in trouble for that, how am I gonna get in trouble from using my own money my own way, as well as taking care of school work?
