And Azzy, I agree with Tobs. There's something about Trigun which makes it rewatchable, whereas I've seen Gundam Wing, my favorite of them all, once, and if I were to see it again, I'd probably get bored with it.

And I turn that same point to you, Wolf. Name some series' that you can watch four times in under a year and not get bored with them.

Blue Seed (again)
Man with No name Trilogy
.hack
The UnSpecial Edition of Star Wars
Escaflowne
Excel Saga
Transformers
Rurouni Kenshin
Terminator
Slayers
Too lazy to go on.

I could and have rewatched these old favorites many times:

Ranma
Sailor Moon (Classics never die, biotch!)
Kino's Journey
FLCL

I did own all of Excel Saga, but I found that I wouldn't watch it again ever. Not one Id like to see again, but worth seeing the first time.

Definitly enjoyed Sailor Moon. I loved Excel Saga XD. Pedro, The Aliens, Power ranger ripoffs, The Author, oh man it was such a great parody.

Nope, different people for the most part and a different art house as well.

THe thing about Trigun that works so well for us is that you become so attached to the characters early on, and then when they kept being put through hell, and keep somehow surviving, I find myself marveling at the boundless potential of the human being. We truly are given a blank ticket when we arrive on this planet, and the concepts of love, hate, death, life, morality, sincerity, and compassion are the greatest forces on this planet or any other planet we habitate.

I only watch dubbed animes that pop up on CN or AS. This is because I'm a cheap bastard that doesn't buy anime unless I really like it, have a crappy PC with a dial up connection so i can't download them, and frankly I don't really care all that much. Anyways, I agree that Trigun is a great series and I believe it's one of those that sets an example for other animes. It's been on AS non-stop for a while, much like Cowboy Bebop, and doesn't really get old. Same goes for Family Guy though I don't think it fits this category. It's also a very inspirational serious. It shows that there is a way to stop wrong doings without taking a life, but that sometimes it's necessary. It might be contradicting, but oh well.

Thats why your not into it so much, your getting cheated out of all the good stuff. Dont get me wrong, Trigun, Bebop, and others have their very respectfully amazing places, but some of the other really powerful stuff is either too short or too graphic in some way for television, and definatly worth checking out.

And I have to insert plug here, I respect english VAs, but I generally don't like them. I Heart subs.

There is but one anomaly. The english dub for Fruits Basket is actually, BETTER than the original japanese voice work. I don't know how this happened, but I tell you it's the truth.

And the dub of Trigun was actually pretty good. Same with Inu Yasha and Cowboy Bebop.

I'll agree with Inuyasha and will whole heartedly agree that Cowboy Bebop has one of the best English Dubs out there. I dont know but Trigun's dub just seemed to be lacking in something not to mention the fact that the two female protaganists(SP?) were annoying as hell IMO.

I used to not watch anime and when I did start, I only watched the dubs. But once I got into the subs I really started to enjoy it more. IMHO you cant call yourself an Anime fan if you dont watch the subs of at least some anime. I can understand Cowboy Bebop, even if I owned it I wouldnt watch the subs. Though the original Japanese VA's for Knockin on Heavens Door were awesome.

That's because somehow the Japanese VA's and the US VA's have the same pitch in voice. It seems like the only thing that changes is just the language and not the tone
