I got End of Evangelion yesterday! This topic is psychic! OoOOoOOo~ 
The only time I saw it it was on a crappy VHS on a TV that went psycho if it got too bright, so I will LOVE watching it on mah lovely flat-screen monitor! :amused: |

Possible Spoiler...Not sure.
Ok watched EoE yesterday...I didn't like that the first 20-30 minutes was the last 20-30 minutes of Rebirth. But ya did get to see Shinji do his *thang* again. Unfortunately I liked the original ending to Eva more than the movies end...Mainly cause when EVA ended there was a direction you could see the story pulling to. The movie ended with Asuka telling Shinji he was disgusting...The freak?
This kid who suffers from paranoid dillusionalism gets subjugated by the ONE person he wanted to save all along. Also, Misato (The blue haired adult lady that's quick on the draw and owner of Pen-pen...I hate names so much) kisses Shinji and promises him more later then she dies...Yeesh. Talk about dissappointment for poor Shinji.
But we did find out why Shinji is so un-eager to open up to people because he is just like his father and doesn't wish to open up for fear of becoming hurt later. But you coulda figured that out around episode 20 I think.
I liked the movie but I prefer the series ending cause it made more sense to ME....Not you, ME. Almost everyone didn't like the ending to the series cause they felt it left a lot to be desired. I liked it cause it leaves an opening for Season 2 (Which is elledgedly in production). And the movie just kinda kills off all Eva's and leaves nothing open and basically kicks Shinji in the teeth...
Oh, and my copy didn't skip once so yer friends got a Bum DVD Asuka. |

well, azvegeta, i gotta tell ya, i also liked the series ending better. i didnt think anyone else agreed with me... awwww... *sniff*
the series ending does make more sense than EoE when you take the time to think about what it is actually saying...
they just kinda overdid it on the movie i guess to appease all the crybabies who complained about the series ending

Yeah, no one ever *THINKS* anymore...They just want the creators of anime to hand them an ending instead of leaving it to their imagination. Grant SOME anime does leave ya hanging WAY too much...But that's normally not their fault...Money is the problem. Like Dragon-Half...~sniffle~ That show got cancelled before it even started...~cries~ |
