I really hope no chara dies in FFIX because I love them all so much. I mean I almost tteared up when Blank died and he wasn't even a playable chara. There were so many bubbly monkey mischief possibilities with him *tear* |

Of course, he's only a playable character for maybe all of five minutes. Still, for those five minutes he kicked serious arse.
As far as FFVII goes, I don't understand the hype. It was a good game, yes, but it's by no means my fav FF. I'd put a a good few FFs up on the list before VII.
