I honestly think in the end the PSP will end up like the NGage, a bunch of crap. I mean how many multi-functioned handhelds have been released and died? Handhelds need to stick to one thing to survive, Gaming. Why? Becuase If i want mobile multimedia stuff I'd buy a laptop. |

There is a huge difference between Ngage and the PSP. The Ngage blows and was a horrible attempt at a handheld system in the first place. It has aweful hardware and even worse software. The only good thing that comes from the Ngage is the phone and I have better games on my sprint PCS phone than what I can get on Ngage.
All the multifuctions are extra stuff, that you have to buy extra. If you ask me Ngage and PSP aren't even in the same category. I wouldn't even put Ngage up against the Original Gameboy.
PSP is a contender and it is the only contender Nintendo has ever had. Wherther you like it or not. |

Well played Wolf. I forgot about the gamegear and I owned one.
The GameGear was a major contender in its time, and IMO it was a better system than the current GameBoy. I still dont understand why it didn't take off. Sega just has bad luck with systems. |

Hardware wise it was ahead of its time with color and backlighting. However, The system was a huge drain on batteries and it was very clunky. Nintendo just had way better games at the time. As much as i loved my energy vampire gamegear it didnt have that many games i liked. By the time Sega released Nomad the Genesis was already dying. |
