What is your favorite type of character?

Tell us your favorite type of character with details and a few examples.

Type: It's pretty simple to tell. I adore hyper, clumsy, and idiotic girls in anime. The kind that don't have much of a clue what's going on but things still go their way due to unrivalled charm and luck. Of course I typically go for the blondes, cute as heck and well you'll get the idea.

Reason: This is basically the characteristics that make up your's truely. I am a hyper, clumsy, idiotic fan boy who talks constantly and usually gets what he wants. (mostly cuz people feel sorry for me)

Prime Examples:

Mutsumi Otohime (Love Hina)
Hinano (Trouble Chocolate)
Sailor Venus (Sailor Moon)

Oh, and Kiyomi! She is always confused, except in her smart geneticist form.

I like one of two types of caracters. I love energetic, bubbly, silly characters. Dumb is not a must, but usually these type of characters are less than intelligent. Kaolla Su from Love Hina is an exception to that, as she is very intelligent. I adore her.

I also like the semi-outcast characters who are a bit mysterious, but not overboard with the mystery and misery. They also tend to have a violent temper. Motoko from Love Hina and Kyou from Fruits Basket are two examples.

Then there is Tohru from Fruits Basket. She is so optomistic and sweet no matter what happens. She is pretty simple (not the brightest in the world), but her increadible sweetness makes up for it.

Type:
I like the people who have fallen in one way or another and have a mission to make something right even if they are alone in their quest. I also like the people that are tough on the outside but they hide the fact that they really do care about people. I like the ones that sacrifice and deny themselves love and happiness in order to protect others.
Ie: Frank Castle/The Punisher, Kusanagi from Blue Seed, Roland from The Dark Tower series, Captain America in the Earth X series of books, Venom, Johnny Smith from The Dead Zone, Gambit, Cable, etc.

Type: Comedic heroes. These are the people that try to walk in a straight line and have to detour around a bomb explosion going off halfway, or accidentally trip into a buxom lady and end up in some sort of pervy position.

Urashima Keitaro (Love Hina), The entire cast of Azumanga Daioh, Vash the Stampede (Trigun), Excel Excel and Hyatt (Excel Saga) Negi T. Silverberg (or Springfield) (Negima!)

But mixed with:

Unlikely heroes: These are the characters that are just trying to hold it together while they're thrown about in weird, weird situations.

Hongo Yui (Fushigi Yugi), Ai and Yu Hayakawa (Final Fntasy Unlimited), Claus Valca and Lavie Head (Last Exile)

I like any character who is well-written and shows multifaceted depth.

Lewd, obnoxious characters that cross the line. It strikes me as hilarious cuz it is something that we look on in the real world as taboo, and it's funny to see it being played out.

I like the roguish (sp?), dark, myserious heroes that are generally good guys, but could easily be the bad guy if pushed enough in that direction. Think Dante from Devil May Cry, Batman, or The Crow. Also, think my character, Ming. He looks and seems evil, but he's really a good guy.

[Zane]

I like the unlikely heroes, you know, the ordinary guy who somehow has to save the day or receives some type of abilities.
