I agree that girls like the tough exterior and the soft interior. Then they get the image and the nice guy. Don't try to be anything. Be yourself. That is what girls like best. Honestly. A girl who likes you for someone you are pretending to be will not make either of you happy.

I say again, that it is very simple. There is a male in every pride known as the 'Alpha Male'. This male is dominant, aka doesn't take crap from others he doesn't have to. He exudes a type of confidence that says, 'mate with me and your offspring will flourish.' This is not to say he doesn't care for the young, that's a species dependant trait, and since human males should care for thier offspring we will take this as a given.

3 keys to picking up women...

1. Exude confidence. This doesn't mean be an @$$, just that you deserve the best in the world and know it. ANd you expect nothing else.
2. Be multi-facited. Sure big pecs and a bicep that can crack walnuts are good, but if your the intellectual equal of a 7 year old, women worth a long term relationship will dump you in a heart beat.
3. Learn the game. I'm gonna get a lot of crap for this, but it is the tuth. Dating is a game, or dance. There are certain moves that just have to be done. Take for instance if you were moving in with a woman and you got a dog, the woman 'might' set the example of how you would treat your kids with how you treat the dog. Each male and female has little, often subconcious, tests that must be passed in order to be thought of as 'mating' material.

Guys, we do it too, it's just more blunt. I can't tell you how sexy it is when a woman cooks for me. Or does something for me that I didn't ask, like laundry, straightening the room, those tasks that are now considered too 'lowly' for just the woman to do. It's true, both should do it, but it's such a turn on when a woman makes a home. Turns me right on. Mr. Green

Now, you don't have to be -that- confident, Graillik. I mean, the whole "I deserve the best and won't settle for less" more just confident in your own abilities, the things you -are- good at. Not demanding. ^_^ But then, that may just be me. I like it when a person knows where they stand.

I have to say I agree with Kiyomi. Don't be anything! Except you!

When you find the person who accepts you for you, that's when you will be happy.

For example. I'm a freaking nut. I am silly as hell and I love to make people laugh. Skibirdi always told me that I showed confidence. But it's not something I try to do. And a lot of people who see me for the first time, and don't really get a chance to know me, think I have a huge ego. But when they get to know me, the realize I am just myself with EVERYONE and I don't change my personality based on the person. When they figure that out, the figure out the kind of person I am.

One of the reasons Skibirdi loved being with me so much is because of how silly I am and how much I made her laugh. But how I knew when I was humbled and when to tone it down.

There is no science to it. Just be yourself. There is no reason to be anything else.

In HS you may try to fit into "a crowd." If it is not who you are or who you think you want to be, then don't try. Make your own "style." Make your own "crowd." You will see that eventually someone will come along who will love you for who you are.

To be honest, I don't like the dominant male type. Been there, done that, dumped him after 3 weeks. I like Excel because he is himself, not fake. His real self fits well with my real self, and that is why we have such a happy marriage and life together.

Ya...to put it in a nutshell though, just be your happy self, and people will be attracted to that. And then you dont have to act differently when they are around, cuase you can just act the way you normally act!

Like me for instance: I meet people, and im just a happy go lucky bum who sometimes talks a mile a minute, and tries to find some way to get a conversation started. That, and im just generally funny in some of the things i do, like talk using my hands (flailing my hands around, or moving around to help signify what im talking about) and the aformentioned *boom*

So just be yourself, like Terin is going to be from now on, and when someone likes you for YOUR traits..not anyone elses...they those people are the keepers.
