Flat Panel is twice the price
Flat Screen is not that much more.
Flat Screen reduces glare a lot. You can tell the difference. Also you don't get the annoyance of the concave surface when you get to the corners.
I bought a 27" Flat Screen TV a little over a year ago for $450 and it had 3 video inputs, 2 of them Svideo. At the time, there weren't many regular TVs that were much less then that with the Svid inputs. Maybe you get a decent regular for 350 or 400 with one Svid.
I agree that Flat Panel isn't quite worth the money that they are asking for it. I will wait for the technology to get a little cheaper first. |
