Please Note I have no intentions of holding a political debate.. Politics are far too unhappy a topic and I personally would rather spend my time on other things.
I would like to say, however, no matter which political affiliation you hold, Mr. Bush seems to be getting a royal whomping tonight. Anyone else tuning in? He reminds me of Nixon in the first televised debate against Kennedy. oo; So I have seen a recording of it, so what? |

Well it always occured to me that once Bush went up with no teleprompter. His fate was in his own hands. IT aint so easy once you have nobody to help you out. |

Kerry really ticked me off here. Yeah, he had some (few) good points, but his upright disrespect for Bush really ticked me off. Kerry: "Blah blah, numbers outta my arse." Bush: "Actually, those numbers are blah blah." *Kerry nods defiantly in background, doesn't try to correct numbers*
And from now on, I'ma call him Robokerry. I saw no emotion from him, and he almost never even looked into the camera. I don't really care if you say something like "this wasn't a time to be emotional," when you get asked if the deaths of soldiers is worth the cause, you'd better have some emotion.
~~~~~~~
"I made a mistake about how I talk about the war, the President made a mistake in how he acted."~In response to voting against the 87 bil for soldiers; doesn't seem to have anything to do with that. This, like many other things, was a way to get around what Bush said. I will say that Kerry did it pretty well; time to time it was hard to follow what his main idea was. He's a brilliant politician; every time he was up for the defence, he slipped his way into the offense. Unfortunately, he did this by completely avoiding the questions. I don't know how many times he said "We're 90% of the troops and 90% of the cost," although Bush did pull the "Wrong war, wrong place, wrong time" out a lot.
But, it's about bedtime. I'll reply to stuff either in the morning (if I have time) or when I get home.
Kerry makes me a sad kensei =/ |
Kerry beat the crap out of Bush, all he had was the war on terror, which he hit on relentlessly and Kerry tore him up on that to.
And Kerry did smile and stuff like that, the camera thing was weird but he was looking at the moderator.
Kerry simply showed bush's vast inadequacy as president, And since when are nominees ever nice to each other.
And what the hell is with bush he is completely against diplomacy it seams especially with North Korea, what the hell is wrong with bilateral talks? |
From what I gathered tonight, I can confidently say this:
Neither one is qualified to hold the office.
That will be all I will say on that issue. In terms of actual debate, Mr. Kerry presented himself better than Mr. Bush and may have been able to convince the average viewer that he is the better candidate of the two. |
All I know is that I need to be running this world.
And between the two of them, they often avoided the issues. In fact, right at the end of the debate, when Kerry was talking about North Korea, Bush went and switched back to Iraq, totally throwing out Jim Lehrer's question.
Of the performances tonight, Kerry was articulate, well versed, knowledgable, and had a presidential air to him.
And Kensei, what disrespect did you see from him? Because I thought that given the two of them, Kerry was incredibly cordial and respectful |
There were a couple of times when he began talking out of turn while Bush was finishing his response, and the nodding while Bush was correcting his numbers really seemed to be more of a "yeah, right" kinda deal. |
Both of them did that. Bush attempted to cut Kerry off once at the 15 second mark |
Your descision on how the debate went was clearly based on who you'd vote for..Or how drunk you were at the time *cough* Reaper *cough*
There was no clear winner. And like Kensei said Kerry has a REAL problem with cameras or something.
I'm waiting for the big question, "What are you going to do about illegal immigration into America?"
The first one to say flaming wall of Acid gets my vote. |
