I've been playing beta for a week or so now and its pretty friggin awesome. I play space wolves from the space marines race. It's not like the other crappy warhammer games lol. This one is a RTS. I haven't played starcraft but alot of people on the beta boards say that this is what Starcraft 2 should be like.

Yeah.. 'cept that SC2 would be lacking the excellence of Eldar, Orkks, Imperial Guard, Chaos, and probably Tau, Daemonhunters, Witch Hunters (mmmm.. Sisters of Battle...), and Necron, which better show up in the final DoW. (The Tau and other human armies should anyway. Necron's probably best as an npc force.)

It's a pretty amazing translation of the tabletop game. Still feels weird to be use resource collection limits instead of fixed points (like making repeated Dreadnaughts), but it's shaping up real nice.

Oh definitly. There's some demos out if you need something to give you a taste of what it's like but I definitly reccomend it. I love playing this game. Even more fun online with and against other players.

Awesome game, I have a minor problem tho ... I'm stuck in a Skirmish mission in the demo on ''Standard'' difficulty lvl and ... I get my ass kicked.

My base is down to a machine cult, 2 power generators and a ''barrack''. I'm being attacked every minute and a half and get drops of Dreadnauts in my base (not to mention that I've been hit by 2 ''Ion cannon-like'' bombardment strikes on my base. I have no more points secured, I have 20000 units of power, and ... 80 units of energy, and droping.

My team? The current surviving units are the second in command, 2 dreadnauts, one hellfire dreadnaut, one squad of scouts (2 left) 2 squads of space marines (one with 3 left, one with 5) and ... o I have a medic in one of those squads ...

I should be cool as long as I can produce dreadnauts to back me up, but if I get my machine cult down ... it's a matter of 2 assaults on my base and I'm doomed.

Can anyone suggest me something?

BTW I love the game, I'm even planning on keeping the demo untill I get my ass off that nasty situation or try to survive as much as I can.

Always make sure to fortify your captured points with turrets and upgrade with listening posts and upgrade those. Leave at least 2 turrets at each base so they dont get recaptured. Infrantry are always great. Try to research and upgrade your units with the armory. Also add units when they die to each squad. Mass produce infrantry and make them all go in one big group to overwhelm the enemies.

good game, i wish there was more too it... i beat it in... 3, 4 days... dont get me rong, i LOVE that game, but i just wish that there was more to it...
(will there be more?)
